Following up shines as falco help

I have been trouble being able to follow up shines as falco. I can get the shine but once they pop up I can seem to follow them well. I usually just wave dash after the shine depending on what side I hit them but I can seem to figure out when I need to do a short hop/full hop/double jump for the follow up. Also any tips on wave landing onto platforms for follow up? I seem to struggle with that a lot and I know it is crucial as a falco player.

Can you elaborate at what percents you have trouble following up with/what characters we are talking about?

Also, wavelanding onto platforms is just something you need to practice. There aren't any tips or tricks that any of us can give you other than practice it until you get it down.

First of all just saying that posting this in the falco boards may be more benefical. As for follow ups what do you try or think of doing? When I use to play falco I would aim for either a dair, nair or bair, depending on where they go.
