Hey guise! I'm fairly new to the Smash world and figured this would be a great place to get some information from people who actually play the game. I'm typically a Link main, but I've really been getting into playing Ganondorf, Roy (Sethlon's Roy actually made me decide to main him in PM), and I'm looking forward to learning a bit of Bowser. As for SSB4, I'm ridiculously hype to try out Rosalina and Luma.

Before Smash, though, I was a pretty avid PlayStation All-Stars player who mained Ratchet for those who may be familiar. Anyway, the only other game and community I participate in is FFXIV.

Really looking forward to meeting all of you and getting to know you as friends and as players. If any Roy players have any tips, please let me know ^_^

Crossing over from the Triforce of Courage to the Triforce of Power, huh? Good move. Though, Link is the better character in general, nothing is scarier than a good Ganondorf player :ganondorfmelee::ganondorf:

I also use some Roy as well. Staying grounded with him is a pretty big deal, so you'll be counting on your D-Tilt a lot for combo start-ups and just as a good safe poke in general (F-Tilt literally is a poke, but it isn't safe on block unless it's well-spaced). A big con of Roy is that most of his moves can be Crouch Canceled (annoying), so be prepared to deal with that. You can take a look at the Roy sub-forum in the PM section for more a lot more details though. This is just coming from someone who used to play Roy often but switched to using Ike over Roy since Ike is my favorite FE character :p

Welcome, and enjoy the forums!

Thanks man! Yeah, I've been dabbling with Ganon for a bit and I feel almost as if he's built to punish. His kill potential is insane, but you have to capitalize on mistakes since a bit of his attacks come out somewhat slow. As for Roy, I have an issue with staying grounded. Once I put some weights on my feet I'm sure I'll improve. Any Ganondorf related tips before I dive into the Character forums? :]
