Alright, so while editing the CSS Portrait for my Ness, I somehow screwed up my brawl that when Ness is highlighted on the CSS, the entire game freezes. I figure, because it has to do with the loading of the CSS portraits for Ness, that I messed something up in my Common5 file.

The only part that I have changed is the Ness portraits under:
sc_selcharacter_en\char_bust_tex_Iz77\Type1[10]

So if anyone can fix that part of the file that is causing my brawl to crash, it would be very helpful. I do not plan to release my next texture without a CSP, and I can't have a CSP if I've messed something up.

tl;dr: Take the file, go to the Ness Portraits, and replace all the new CSP with the default, non-broken Ness CSPs.

I've done it myself, after tracking down an original Common5.pac.

But it didn't work. It still freezes when I highlight Ness on the CSS.

What is wrong with my brawl that makes it freeze only when I highlight Ness?

1. Edit your posts instead of double posting.
2. You should have posted this in the Q&A thread.

I would have edited, but the double post also doubles as a bump. And since I was unable to locate the Q&A Thread through the search, I created this topic; and the bump is essential to keeping it as a center of attention on the first page.

Behave, you're acting like a 5 year old.

If all of us here are really civilized gentlemen, then we would help each other out. And the Code Q&A is not the Q&A topic I am looking for. I am looking for the generic Q&A that seemingly disappeared a while ago. I do not think this applies to Coding, as it has to do with the editing of the Common5.pac file.

The bumping, albeit immature, was not simply a call for attention, it was more of a revival of a small thread that would seemingly be answered easily enough by the helping members of a community, as once this problem is answered, it can disappear off the ends of the earth and make room for the problems of fellow community members.

The Code Q&A IS the Q&A, it has been used for other things for quite sometime.

Explanation please. Also, no need to revive something 2 hours after you post it. It was still on the first page, and you'd get help eventually. I don't like people who bump because they absolutely NEED attention, but rather because they believe the thread has been in the dust for a few days.

As for your problem, if the Q&A thread hasn't figured out your problem yet, most likely has to do with something you did with your Ness CSP while you were editing it. You may have forgotten a step or two, and thus, it breaks. I'm not the best on this subject, but thats my best guess.

I had this problem, only with my Shadow portraits. It happened ot me when I set the portrait's format to something other than CI8. Try making sure that all of your portraits are the default format, CI8. When importing textures, it should give you the option to change the format.

Not to be rude, but the question's already been answered, and you bumped a 6-month-old topic. Please don't bump old threads next time, thanks
