*fixed* Mods Lock

Alright here's the deal I have my model set up a photo metric free light. I put a large Plane under my model to make it look like it's lying on a table or something. Now when I go to render it with the Mental Ray Photo metric lighting preset all it does is render black and nothing else even when the light is literally next to my model, and in the realistic view port there is lighting. Is there a way to fix this?

Help is very much appreciated thanks . This is for a college assignment.
