So yeah, first competitive Shoddy team I've ever made. I wasn't really aware of the competitive aspect to Pokemon until well in to the 4th gen (though I've been playing Pokemon since RBY), so you'll have to excuse any naivety/stupid mistakes.

Anyways, the general theme of this team is to put Pokemon (ingredients) that can work well on their own, but work even better when used in tandem with each other, while having a core Pokemon to tie everyone together (like two buns, hence, hamburger). I guess that's what EVERY team should be like, but I feel my team has quite a lot more synergy to it (though it still relies on the Buns quite a lot...but yeah, moving on).

I've tested this team on the Shoddy ladder to satisfactory results. For most of the games I went at least 3-0, and usually I had at least 1 unused Pokemon (but that could be because of how crappy the teams probably were...one had a Houndoom and a Quagsire >.> I still need to play it some more). The one game I lost was against a SubPetaya Emploeon after my Gyarados fell, so that may be the first area my team could be worked on (because I don't want to rely on my Gyara too much).

Most of these sets are ripped right off Smogon, although I've changed a few moves around to better suit what my team needs.

Anyways, without any more delay, he's my team:

Pickle (Aerodactyl) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4HP/252Atk/252Spe
Jolly Nature (+Spe, -SpAtk)
- Taunt
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide

Standard Dacky, and I love pickles. :p This thing has been very kind to me, as its great Speed gets Rocks up early (which my team likes) and I can Taunt to make sure my opponent can't set up theirs (which my sweepers like even more), although I haven't been using him well, since I always Taunted when I should have attacked, and Rocked when they were Rocking. >.> His Ground-immunity is useful to my Buns, and I've found him to make a good revenge-killer when presented the opportunity.

Tomato (Breloom) @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 48HP/252Atk/208Spe
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SpAtk)
- Spore
- Focus Punch
- Seed Bomb
- Stone Edge (/Substitute?)

I was never aware of this set until just an hour ago, but boy do I love it. After Rocks are up, this is usually the next Pokemon I go to, in order to force switches (from Spore) and pile on damage early (from Focus Punch/rock damage). Also my check to Tyranitar (which the rest of my team doesn't like at all). I haven't been able to put Stone Edge to use yet, and since I've already got two Rock-type attacks (as well as Stealth Rocks) on my team, I'm thinking Substitute might be a bit better, to stop stuff like Starmie and Emploeon from immediately killing me.

Beef (Gyarados) @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252Atk/4Def/252Spe
Jolly Nature (+Spe, -Spatk)
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge

Standard Offensive Gyara, the main sweeper of my team. He checks most of the Water/Ice type attackers that would otherwise be having a party amidst my team. Really nothing special here, aside from the name, which I childishly hope will make people think this is of the Bulky variety. :bee:

Lettuce (Celebi) @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252HP/220Def/36Spe
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Grass Knot
- Recover
- Toxic
- Leech Seed

This is actually wasn't the Celebi I was using during the games I played, because the Celebi I had before was a cleric (which is stupid to have on a team with Breloom, I realized a few minutes ago >.>), so I can't attest to how it's helped me...but I can theorymon a bit. Physically bulky staller to weaken and cripple troublesome physical threats like Salamence. Leech Seed and Toxic are both for forcing switches, Toxic more for spreading status around. Thunder Wave might also be an option, but Buns has that covered, so bleh.

Onion (Gengar) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4HP/252SpAtk/252Spe
Timid Nature (+Spe, -Atk)
- Protect
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast (/Thunderbolt?)
- Hidden Power (Fire)

The second sweeper (and part-time spin-blocker) of my team, Onion actually hasn't been of much use to me, but I attest that to the fact that I haven't run into anything it was really effective against. Protect to scout stuff like Scizor to see what move its using, then act accordingly (switch to Buns if BP, HP Fire if Pursuit). For what use its been, Focus Blast has not really done much, so I'm considering Thunderbolt. And people keep predicting my HP Fires with Heatrans. ;_;

BunsOfSteel (Magnezone) @ Leftovers
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 40HP/216Spe/252SpAtk
Timid Nature (+Spe, -Atk)
- Substitute
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power (Ice)
- Thunder Wave

The Buns! I love this thing so much. Traps Steels that would otherwise create problems with the rest of my team (i.e. Scizor), spreads status to help the rest of my generally slow team to cause damage, and MVP of my team. He has great synergy with Gengar and Gyarados, and HP (Ice) works with Celebi to get rid of those ****ed dragons.

So yeah, please rate/give suggestions/tear my team apart, because so far its been pretty playing Shoddy, and I'd like to get more into it.

Looks ok, but then I don't know anything about movesets. Seriously, even though Id like, I don't get the competitve aspect about pokemon... I would like to see how the whole system works though...

Yeah, this is pretty standard, but I think running a lead Jirachi set would work better for you; it's bulkier, can trick its scarf away, and still get rocks up vs. a lot of other leads (and break the sashes of stuff like ape/tran who will walk all over you anyway).

Jirachi @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 Atk/80 HP/176 Spe
Jolly nature (+Spe, -SpAtk)
Iron Head
Stealth Rock
Trick
U-turn

Pickles is a nice jirachi name too ;)

Tomato (Breloom) @ Toxic Orb

I would definitely go with the subpunch set, the coverage that comes from Seed Bomb is there for stab, but the coverage of stone edge is there mostly to help against zapdos, mence, and gyara who can all come in on focus punch and set up : Seed bomb does more damage to rotom/spiritomb who come in to tank focus punch. Either choice is good but definitely run sub over one of those attacks. Also a personal preference of mine is to run max speed/Jolly on breloom to increase your range of targets you can use Spore on and outspeed to keep your sub safe. The power loss can be worth it because it increases his switch-in opportunities, but it's really a matter of preference.

Beef (Gyarados) @ Life Orb

Solid, but I think though that if you follow my later recommendation of running a suicune though that running a Jolteon can give you a unique niche to support your team and guard it from status!

Jolteon @ Leftovers
Timid Nature (+Spe, -Atk)
244 HP/136 Spe/128 SpDef or 244 HP/252 Spe/12 SpDef
Wish
Substitute/Thunderbolt
Baton Pass
HP Grass

Going with either spread will work well (the first one is to outspeed base 115s, but max speed is useful as well if you go that route). If you run substitute, you should probably run baton pass as well (as subpassing is great especially for bulkier pokemon like suicune who will just laugh at earthquakes thrown at it while giving them status protection). He's got the special defense to come in on non-stab special hits and wish as they switch out. Thunderbolt and HP Grass will deal with skarmory and swampert respectively, weakening them enough for the rest of your team to deal with, and baton pass lets you go to Celebi to absorb earthquakes and Suicune to absorb bullet punches/u-turns from Scizor.

Lettuce (Celebi) @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252HP/220Def/36Spe
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Grass Knot
- Recover
- Toxic
- Leech Seed

This is actually wasn't the Celebi I was using during the games I played, because the Celebi I had before was a cleric (which is stupid to have on a team with Breloom, I realized a few minutes ago >.>), so I can't attest to how it's helped me...but I can theorymon a bit. I think you should go with thunder wave on this Celebi, as otherwise it just invites Heatran to switch in for free, and this team has a couple problems with heatran. :/

Good set overall though.

Onion (Gengar) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4HP/252SpAtk/252Spe
Timid Nature (+Spe, -Atk)
- Protect
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast (/Thunderbolt?)
- Hidden Power (Fire)

The second sweeper (and part-time spin-blocker) of my team, Onion actually hasn't been of much use to me, but I attest that to the fact that I haven't run into anything it was really effective against. Protect to scout stuff like Scizor to see what move its using, then act accordingly (switch to Buns if BP, HP Fire if Pursuit). For what use its been, Focus Blast has not really done much, so I'm considering Thunderbolt. And people keep predicting my HP Fires with Heatrans. ;_;
The mysticGar set was a novelty that doesn't work anymore simply because people realized that the protect was being used to scout for pursuit from scizor. Go with sub over protect, it'll help you out a lot more, and definitely keep focus blast as this is just another opportunity for heatran to switch in, outspeed, and KO with a +1 fire blast if you're running this protect set.

BunsOfSteel (Magnezone) @ Leftovers
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 40HP/216Spe/252SpAtk
Timid Nature (+Spe, -Atk)
- Substitute
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power (Ice)
- Thunder Wave

The Buns! I love this thing so much. Traps Steels that would otherwise create problems with the rest of my team (i.e. Scizor), spreads status to help the rest of my generally slow team to cause damage, and MVP of my team. He has great synergy with Gengar and Gyarados, and HP (Ice) works with Celebi to get rid of those ****ed dragons.
This team doesn't actually have a lot of problems with steel types, but it does have a lot of problems with dragons and scarfed pokemon like heatran/latias/flygon.

In this spot I'm going to suggest something that will act as a good stop to those weaker attackers that that can reliably counter dragons AND also has nice defensive synergy with the rest of your team: suicune.

Suicune @ Leftovers
172 HP/120 SpAtk/216 Spe
Timid nature (+Spe, -Atk)
Calm Mind
Surf
HP Electric
Ice Beam

This can come in, give you some good physical and special bulk, threaten to CM up against opponents, and packs a lot of unexpected power (as most people will expect a bulkier CM set over a speedier one). This is a compromise between the offensive CM set and the bulk that your team could use.

So yeah, please rate/give suggestions/tear my team apart, because so far its been pretty playing Shoddy, and I'd like to get more into it.
just my comments. I'm not a great teambuilder, but that should give you a few things to think about. :)

As stated my real nitpick is that your MysticGar wants Substitute instead of Protect.

Your nicknames are pretty boss though.
