Hi,

Can someone explain why would i choose one over another?

I have tried both, but i dont really picture the real advantages/disadvantages of firefox vs twisting fox.

Which type of MU or which kind of situations should one be more useful than the other?

Thank you!

Twisting Fox is a custom move that can kill vertically at 100% if you catch an opponent at the base of it, however, is harder to use during battles. While Fire Fox is the standard recovery, sending you a good length and having solid physics against the stage, this also does good damage, but won't kill until very high percents. It's very easy to use in battle.

It's a matter of preference for this one. I personally like the default Fire Fox.

EDIT: The base of this info was found in the Custom Moves (pinned) thread for Fox. So if you'd like to check that out go there :p

Hi ATh,

Yeah, i read the threads. I also have tested both moves, but i couldnt conclude any satisfiying pros/cons of one versus another.

I mean... is it that simple that twisting fox travels less distance (and slower) but has actual killing potential?

Isnt there anything else?

like: twisting fox is better in *x* situations, and firefox is better in *y* situations.

Because if the only benefit of twisting fox is to have KO potential with the trade off of less distance (and being slower), i think its not really useful when you are playing against a good opponent. Simply because it will be extremely hard to have a kill with it due to the nature of the move...

thoughts?

Ok Twisting Fox. The lack of distance is marginal, and it doesn't bounce you off walls, rather make you go in the direction you were facing before using the move.

Thank you! i didnt know that.

Although i disagree that the distance difference is marginal. I "measured" it and its not that little. I have been in many situations where the firefox distance was barely enough, so with the twisting fox i would have died.
