Firefox crashes my computer. help?

This all started about a week back, where first firefox would stop responding, followed by my whole computer, and eventually it would just crash and i would have to restart.

Afterwards, it would come to a blue screen that had to "clean" my computer or something. It would say "NTFS" and "volume is dirty" and I THINK the error code was "0x0000005" but I'm not sure, that's just what I wrote down I just know it means something...

So when I finally figured out it was firefox that was cause my computer to crash, I stopped using it and switched to google chrome, now this browser is OK, but I miss my firefox! I like firefox much better and there are so many little things about chrome that piss me off, I just want firefox back!

I tried uninstalling it, and then reinstalling it days later, and at first I thought that it was working, but after about 30-45 mins it crashed my computer again D:

That's very strange, what Firefox version is it? Is it the latest one or an old version?

when it first started happening, it was an older version, but then i uninstalled it and then downloaded the most recent version, and still, it would crash.
