Not really sure where I'd post this since it's not necessarily about controls, but I have to ask this anyway.

How do you guys keep your thumbs/fingers from getting stiff and keep your reflexes at top performance? I have trouble doing things like dash dancing and stuff like that because my thumb (on the control stick) doesn't move as fast as needed and it seems to tense up a lot when I try and perform or learn new techniques that need fast inputs.

Any idea on what I can do to fix this?

Personally I play a lot of games that require high APM (Actions Per Minute) like Starcraft and League of Legends. Therefore, I'm use to having to move my fingers and thumbs continually and quickly in rapid succession.

This thread here may be able to give you a few pointers on how to improve your reflexes:

This may sound odd but have you tried getting up and walking around for a couple of minutes and try to relax for a bit? You mentioned that your fingers tense up so taking a breather for a couple of minutes could do some good. I have a similar issue and it works for me just fine.

Well it's not really that. It's normally when I start practicing and go straight into tech. After a few minutes of practicing and using my fingers over and over, they begin to tense up. I dunno. I'm weird lol.

Is the temperature of the room at you are playing in cold? That could be the cause of your muscles tensing up. If not then maybe you could just pay the issue no mind at all. It can't bother you if you don't think about it.

Actually it is cooler in my room when I play. I normally heat up during video games so this helps a lot, but maybe that's why.
