Anybody find any cool/game breaking bugs?

My girlfriend found one with Pikachu. While under the center platform of Battlefield, Thunderbolt will pass through the platform and strike Pikachu, but only if the platform is out of view! This will happen if your opponent is standing near enough to you that the camera zooms in far enough to hide the upper platform.

That bug makes since considering the stage probably isn't rendered when it's off screen

I was able to consistently use Pikachu's Up+B through the center platform, even when it was clearly visible.

I can't use it through the left or right platforms, but it always worked through the center one, unless I am mistaken.

While I haven't tried to replicate it, if you hit somebody out of the screen (at the top of the screen) with Pikachu's Thunder, they'll go up instead of being meteored back down. I did this on Villager once, but maybe I just got the spacing really good or something, lol.

Although this is not a bug, everytime you want to close Smash Bros, the 3ds will reopen, it is just inconvenient.

I'm almost certain there's a way to triple jump with Pikachu.

I think it has something to do with up-airs and tap-jump, but I'm certain I've triple jumped multiple times. Only with Pikachu, too.

My brother says when battles online, he saw someone use King dedede, he blocked Little Mac's one-hit ko.

The fairy bottle item isn't working... Is this just happening to me?
The fairy bottle only works when you're at 100% or higher I believe. Or is it not working even when you're over 100%?

Fairy bottle isn't glitched, it's just confusing. It only heals if you/whoever it hits is above 100% damage. I usually just throw it off stage.

Had a weird interaction with Mario's cape as Pikachu. While off stage, Mario caped me, and at the same time I used my second jump. As a result, Pikachu flew way up to the top of the screen. Hopefully next week I'll have a partner to try and reproduce this with!

Pikachu's lightning bolt doesn't always seem to hit as it should. About 50% of the time, I swear I'm seeing the lightning graphic go right through an enemy (or sometimes, the enemy is standing right in the middle of it) and it doesn't hit. Seems more like a case of misplaced hit boxes not matching the graphics.

Also, not sure if this is a glitch but I had a weird ledge interaction with Pikachu's quick attack (Weird, everything I've found is with Pikachu and I'm not even playing him that much). Somehow, I went from hanging on ledge, to Quick Attack toward the stage (causing me to move nowhere), to second Quick Attack toward stage (moved nowhere again), and re-grabbed ledge. So, basically a ledge stall. I'll have to try it again to see exactly how I did it/if its useful.

My brother says when battles online, he saw someone use King dedede, he blocked Little Mac's one-hit ko.
I suppose I should update the thread title since the full version is available to some!

It's a little sad that the thunder through platforms glitch was not fixed. We saw this early back in the Best Buy demo.

It's possibly an intentional decision... but if that's the case, Kirby's uthrow better also slip through the lights at the top of the boxing ring stage, since it was an insta-kill.

While using villagers pocket I managed to get a crate stuck inside of the floor. Half of it was sticking out the top, and a corner was visable lower down on the left poking out.
Also I SWEAR villager has triple jumped as well. I've played as him for a solid 12 hours and have done it at least every other match for some unknown reason.

I figured out the "triple jumping" I think.

I never realized how gigantic the radius is for footstool jumping. You can be outside the range of someone's attack and you can still footstool them. It doesn't stop their attack animation, it just sends you flying into the air for another jump.

At least that seems to be what was causing my "triple jumps" to happen.

Footstool is supposed to interrupt them and send them into a unique tumble animation. It sounds like what you're doing might be a glitch that's not registering the footstool to the opponent.

Who does this usually happen against, and what move are they using when it happens?

Also, I'm going to add that there's probably a glitch in Megaman's Lvl. 9 AI. More than once, I've seen him walk off the edge and move around in mid-air like he still thinks he's on the ground. By the time he tries to recover, it's too late. Never counts as a suicide though, so I think it's some kind of projectile attack that's messing him up (I need to verify, but I think it's either Pikachu's spark or Link's boomerang).

Not sure if anyone posted this:

Link seems to be really bad at using his own bombs.. sometimes he throws them up and somehow he just keeps the same position and gets hit by his own bomb.. in other instances link summons a bomb but due to my char being out of range or respawning Link just lets the bomb detonate in his hand..

Oh... Huh.

Well I only really play against my brother, and he pretty much exclusively plays Villager.

I believe I've been able to footstool him during his up-tilt without it interrupting him. I don't know how footstool on shield is supposed to work, but I've jumped off of his shield quite a lot and he doesn't seem to be affected at all by that either.

I've only really done this with Pikachu, but that's probably because Pikachu is the only character I spam up-airs with.

I saw a video where Villager's pocket move stopped Link's Final Smash.

I believe Villager's pocket grab has invincibility frames. I saw it before in the vgbootcamp stream during the Japanese demo. They were trying to pocket grab Megaman's down smash for whatever reason, and he came through unscathed a couple of times they tried it.

He does seem to. This is the reason he's able to pocket some things without facing them.
