So I had this crazy idea for a show where I talk about games, upload it onto Youtube, and then people either find me interesting or boring. In the Pilot episode, I talk about graphics and style.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3eDRJMNFCQ

Here it is, do me a favor and show as much critisim as you'd like. If people like it, then it might just end up replacing my writen blogs, if not, then I guess it was worth a shot anyway.

Enjoy the show!

Also, the show's named after the audo diaries you find lying around Rapture in Bioshock.

If you mention high five's in there once in a while I'll follow your show.

Maybe get a bit better audio and perhaps footage of the games or things you talk about.

Yeah, I seriously need a new mic. And something for people to look at would make things a lot more interesting. After all, if I wanted to listen to people just talking for lengthy amounts of time, I'd listen to Show Me Your News (if that's even still running).

I enjoy this. I'd totally be willing to check out more if you decided to upload anything else.

As far as critiquing goes, I don't really have much to say. Only things that bother me are pretty small and trivial.

EDIT: Yeah, except the sound. I think that's a unanimously agreed upon problem, lol.

One problem with this:
I had to literally max my volume to hear this. The problem is... someone logged on AIM, and I think my ears exploded.

Might I suggest getting an epic intro theme as well?

So far it sounded pretty good. Indeed, video games are there to play and not just look at.

Obviously, one option is that you could review a new game every now and then.

Not a bad idea, but I'm cheap. As in, I only rarely buy games brand new... meh, when the opertunity comes around I should take it.

Any ideas for an E3 special in the future?

Say, are you still working on that RPG game?

That could work.

Kind of, but then I got a new computer, I was almost done with the first episode (barring a few animation sprites) but when I tried to transfer the files... lets just say that it didn't go well. So for now, the RPG is pretty much put on hold for a while. I'll probably pick it up again some time in December.

Yes, but you should post in the meet-and-greet section.

Okay, so a little update.

So, I found a camera. And it still works, originally I was going to put the first (official) episode out on friday but it might be pushed back because now I have visual thigns to worry about in addition to audio.

Just listened, good stuff! I love your point about "gray" games, it's totally true... even RE4 was terribly monochrome compared to its predecessors, and lol @ RE5 being like looking through iced tea. I'd LOVE this is you shot some video to correlate the subjects at hand, it'd be worth subscribing to.

Heh, i ended up spending most of my time watching your SF4 vids though, your Abel isn't bad!! I have never played this game, but yeah.. F brawl, so getting SF4!! The announcer is enough to get the game, lol always so excited! And when did Chun Li become Xiaoyu? :p She's still hot though, those killer thighs. Epic!

"HOW DID I SURVIVE!?!?!?! F! F!!!" lol yeah Akuma is still bad ***.

EDIT: Oh and for some ghastly reason I always pronounced your SN fini-Lark. LOL but now cause of SF4 SN I can see it's Final Ark. >.>

And another potential topic:

Hardcore video game fanboy's. All across the spectrum.

Actually, what kind of topics are you looking for exactly? Like anything, or just regarding video games?

I love your enthusiasm! But those SF4 vids were not mine. Sad to say, although it is "Final Ark."

Seriously though, I need to get myself a copy of SF4. I actually didn't like Street Fighter until SF4 came out. And if I were to upload some SF4 vids, you'd see Ken getting eaten alive by everyone else in the game. But still, thanks for the support.

Mostely gaming-related. But I'll do just about anything of interest (although religion and polotics are taboo topics in my book), probably pop-culture related.

I'm a voice actor for some machinimas and fandub stuff online so I know about mic/recording quality.

If you haven't done these things already, make sure you:

1. Download Audacity (it's free) and use it for your recordings. Other, better programs exist, but this is fine if you're not looking to spend a lot of money.
2. Turn up the input volume of your microphone if your voice is too quiet. This can be adjusted on Audacity. Also make sure you talk into the side of your mic instead of directly into it, because this will prevent annoying clicks and pops when saying consonants such as "p" (or sighing into the mic, which will **** people's ears). Also speak loudly and clearly.
3. Use Noise Removal: This function can get rid of annoying background noise such as your computer whirring or other ambient noise. It's rather simple to use, and I can tell you how if you get Audacity.
4. Normalize/Amplify: You can use either of these to get your recordings to a decent volume, but be aware that background noises will be amplified (which is why you should remove them beforehand.

I have moderate experience with both speaking and audio recording, so you can ask me for help/feedback/advice if you need it.

Also, if you want to have "guests" on your show, it could shake things up a bit. It'd add a little variation because it provides more than one voice and personality and also presents the opportunity for dialogue/debate. This is pretty easy through Skype. I'd volunteer. I think it'd be fun to help, and I'm a pretty smart guy with opinions and a good mic.

Speaking: Make sure you don't record everything in one take (I don't know if you did or not). If you trip up too much (such as mispronouncing "impracticality" 34598792 times), you can re-record and run the audio takes together. It's easy with Audacity. Make sure you plan your stuff out, and try not to ramble. Not sure, but I think I detected some self-consciousness as well, but that'll pass as you make more entries. Also, try to sound a little more conversational and energetic. I know that probably sounds corny, but you could have been a little more engaging with your delivery.

Finally, I liked your topic. =D
[/constructive criticism]

I really hope you get back to me about this and tell me what's up. This could be a cool project if developed.

DOH, hahaha my bad. Ah well... get good at SF4 and post vids!! XD Now I just have to decide if it'll be xbox360 or PS3... I wanna compare the online play between the two before I decide.

Thanks for the advice! I'll be sure to give all of those a shot some time. Also, what have you voice acted in? I'm curious (that and the fact that I think voice acting is awesome).

I have moderate experience with both speaking and audio recording, so you can ask me for help/feedback/advice if you need it.
I kind of suck at this at this point when it comes two those. Expect me to be asking for help a lot in the future.

Also, if you want to have "guests" on your show, it could shake things up a bit. Interestingly enough, I was considering this shorty after I posted the pilot. I'm planning on having "guests" in E3 specials and the like. It could be fun.

Thank you for all of the support. I did do it all in one take (wanted to pitch this idea ASAP) but I'm planning on being much more careful in the future. I really need to work on being energetic, though...

Finally, I liked your topic. =D

I really hope you get back to me about this and tell me what's up. This could be a cool project if developed.
Once again, thanks.

Now I have video in addition to audio, so any ideas for an offical name of this little show?

Well as of yet, few things have actually come out that my voice acting has appeared in. I'm planning on making a blog about it later. Look up "Zeburon". It's a brawl machinima. That's the job I'm most proud of so far (though looking back I could have done better). The other two are kind of mediocre machinimas, but you can find a playlist for them and also some auditions/solo projects on my youtube channel.
