Final Smashes, should they have been announced

I honestly don't like FS updates because I would have loved to play the game and the first time a character got one been like WTF. I mean the item should have been announced and maybe the ones in the video, but it would have been cool to not see them all and had them like finishin gmoves for MK.

There is still game modes, music (could spend a lot of time here), post more trailers, characters, stages, pokeballs, assist trophies, subspace emissary updates, etc.

well.. the final smashes aren't a HUGE update that would ruin the game. I honestly think that wayyy too many characters have been revealed, almost ruining the surprise. FS's are the least of my worries.

True lol, but it is hard to miss them when I am checking to see what characters from Melee will make it back and to see if Megaman is in.

I want their to be suprises in my first matches. I would rather him release secret characters because I probably won't get them all until IGN or somebody releases how to get the secret characters.

I actually love FS updates. It's so interesting to see how Sakurai-san tries to implement the characters' respective personalities into their individual FSes.

...Plus, my three (confirmed) mains have had their respective FSes revealed as of today, so I'm a happy camper. :bigthumbu

I hate FS updates because the community will be to stubborn (including me) to play with ANY item on including Smash Balls so it doesn't effect me.

i don't know, i feel like there might be a chance smash balls could be in competitive play on low or something. i feel like stuff will kind of balance itself out and as long as there aren't a ton in each game they won't lead to unfair free kills.

What do you mean "way too many characters have been announced"? I have faith that there are going to be so many characters in Brawl that this what we have now is but a minuscule percent of what is to come.

As for the thread, final smashes being revealed isn't that much of a shocker for me. I like to be surprised too (Midna unlock able character?) but final smashes don't very significant to me.

No because I would like to know what characters are in the game or not. However, I don't really want to know what the characters moves are.

I am not the kind of player that I will play it on endlessly and stumble into the secret characters and stages unless and FAQ says something like beat Classic with Marth to get Roy. Then I will know how to get Roy. (although I have beaten all single modes with all characters on Melee).

A good one for example is the DK Jungle stage from Smash 64 on Melee... how would I know how to unlock it without an FAQ? Therefore how would I be able to enjoy that secret if I don't know it is there.

I want Sakurai to announce characters and how to get them, but not their moves, etc. I can find out their moves, FS, etc. once I get to play them and really enjoy them. If I never get to play them or don't know they are there then I can't enjoy them. Get it?
