Final Smashes in SSE?

Hey yall, I just thought of something this can be thrown away if you think it's a stupid idea or thread, but I just wanted to see what everyone else may think of this.

Do you think characters will use Final Smashes during SSE gameplay? I personally think it would be an unwise idea to do so, or it would have to be really ****ing rare to occur. Or for a better example maybe you can use Final Smashes as a lifeline. While playing SSE, you can be given the ability to perform a final smash if feel the need should arise, but the cost of using a final smash results in loosing one stock. It may sound harsh but it adds a sense of desperation and strategy to gameplay in the story mode. Or you can use them in boss battles but yet again the idea can still remain you use a final smash it can cost you coins, trophies, or a stock of your life.

But thats just my idea. What do you guys think?

Eh, I think it will probably boil down to something like this...

Y'know how we're still on a sort of "Life/Stock System", correct? Except this time, our lives are limited by how many characters are on our team, it seems.

With that in mind, I would guess that it would boil down to utilizing the "Pity Smash" (remember that?). When you're on your last life, and with your last man/woman/thing, you're probably going to want something that may end up giving you a nice ace in the hole. That's where the Pity Final Smash will come in.

In this fashion, I think they'll be able to keep it relatively fair, while also allowing us to use what is probably one of the more interesting new things about this new Smash.

Also, there's still that thing about the supposed "power-up method" for the SSE that Sakurai STILL has yet to spill the beans about. So I think there stands to be plenty of ways for the Final Smashes to be worked in there too.

Oh yes! Thats right! Though then again I have a feeling in my gut that says the "Power Up" system will somehow resembled that of Call of Duty 4 (Which is not a bad thing). Though that is a rather good idea about the Pity Smash. Though you can set difficulties on this mode correct? Mayhapse your idea is true, but maybe that would get canned from something like Very Hard Mode as a sort of challenge.

I just feel that story wise Final Smashes should be saved for right at the very end of the story to add spice to the storyline. But thats just me.

Heh...

I'm willing to bet that they'd probably found SOME WAY to make Sonic show-boat in his Super form at the end of SEE too, if it was at all possible. Maybe a nice "remix" of Doomsday Zone, as you would have to have Super Sonic pave the way so Mario could fight the Ancient Minister's Final Form? :chuckle:

Heh that would be rather epic to see Mario and Sonic gone Final Smash on the Ancient Minister with a mixture of some final boss music from both Sonic and Mario series'.

I liking the sound of it allready.
