i noticed in the recent video of the wifi play that while samus is using the zero lazer, link made it to safety behind her. he had plenty of time to charge up a forward smash or spin attack so that it would blast her away as soon as the final smash was over. but he just stood there and when it ended i beleive he forward tilt attacked her. Maybe the player was just superNOOB, or could samus have invincibility during the attack or during her transformation. cause i know id have exploited the hell out that opportunity.

Unfortunately thats how Samus' final smash is. There is a really big window to get abused. Also, if you are not very far from the spawn point when using it, they can die and get to you before your lag ends from the smash. This is especially frightening against Ike because Zero Suit Samus dies against his smashes at around 80%.

Some characters can get out of their final smashes without too much abuse, Samus is not one of them.

sam0s does have a misleading amt of invincibility coming out of her final smash though, so if your opponent is not familiar w/ it, they may miss. the invincibility lasts a pretty long time, longer than most smash charge up times so if they charge right after your beam goes out, it will miss and then you'll get away only taking a mildly charged smash(lol)

Attacks go through you, you are fully invincible until just about the time the animation ends. You have the whole white glowy part where your armor begins to break off and somewhere towards the end of that, invincibility ends. As long as you kill your opponent with this, you are pretty much ok as they will be pressed for time getting to you.

Zero Suit's is the more dangerous one to use. For some reason, it looks like you can DI out of it (or maybe its pure luck, I doubt anyone knows for sure yet) before it sends you off, which as you can imagine means pretty big trouble.

But on the topic of bouncing. There are alot more reflectors in brawl. In my experience, attacks that involve something spinning (like Pit's spinning sword attack - I dunno the buttons for it) will reflect projectiles. Kinda good to watch out for :p.
