I would eat my GC controller in delight if they gave Mario a Samus styled kamehameha beam....fire red of course.

any other hopes and dreams out there?

Be prepared to eat your GC controller.

For our entertainment.

While we're talking hopes and dreams, this for Kirby. It's his anime Chef Kirby attack and hilariously over-the-top.
Also while I'm at it: DK's finisher from DKCR.
comboing into the both of those would feel soooo good.

on the other hand, i want the final smashes to be balanced out. they should still be fun. but why can bowser be damaged but wario can't? why does snake get a completely unpunishable final smash? I could go on. but for real. I mostly want them to be reblanaced

There's a lot of discrepancy between the usefulness of some Final Smashes compared to others. If PMBR seriously plans on balancing them all (which I don't see them doing, it all looks like a lot of work for something that people that play Project M hardly play with), I'd be down for it. At least all of them should be FUN to use if they're not going to be balanced. Olimar's End of Day is boring, for instance.

I didn't promise anything that you mentioned. I just wanted to see someone eat his/her GC controller.

The only thing I would want to see is Great Aether be made completely blue instead of just the last hit. I don't know how the Brawl team overlooked giving "The Hero of Blue Flames" blue fire.

More people would use Final Smashes if they weren't so... I dunno... Stupid? If they were more well-designed, and didn't revolve around an item, they would be pretty cool. I'd use them.

It doesn't surprise me, they over looked a lot of stuff.

I love the percentage based final smash idea thats always floatin around the boards, deal out accumulative 200 or 300 percent and you get a final smash..or something.

Would be awesome if they were all balanced as well.

Yeah, that would be a good start. I wonder how feasible it would be to give everyone a point system like Lucario has - each 50 points gives a progressively vibrant visual effect, culminating in a Final Smash. They would serve only as indicators of how close you are to that end goal, however - tiered supers would be all kinds of cool, but not realistic.

depending on the character though it could work. unlike PASBR where each character has multiple supers. you could make it so that each characters get their super at a different tier. some need to deal out 100 percentage. others 200. some may need to take entire stocks in order to gain them.

but then the Elitist who won 1 gamestop tourney and then declared themselves the king of smash without ever owning the damn game will whine about how "why are you appealing to the casuals by forcing us to use Final Smashes? The PMBR are just a bunch of casual loving freaks!"

you don't have to use critical edge's in soul calibur, you have meter in traditional fighters but you don't have to use it. either way you get what i'm getting at. the most intrusive things about final smashes is that they steal away an entire special move, and then there's the gripes about the fact it appears as an item. I could go on but the more i go on about things the more my mind thinks on the subject and i rapidly think of new ideas and opinions and the post becomes very scatterbrained.

I would just like to say one thing though. I wouldn't want a meter to be used for final smashes. the success of the meter in capcom games is fine but alot of games (like sc5) kinda use it as an easy way to add depth to the game. (not that this is bad, it's just it's an easy way to do it) and smash being a traditionally unorthodox game. I think should thusly have a creative way to obtain final smashes in such a way. smashballs fit this bill just not competetively. yet

I'm hoping the PMBR makes the final smash "mode" toggle-able like an item, but doesn't push them to be included in competitive play. They're cool with causal friends, but unless they're completely reworked from the ground up, the premise is almost worthless.

I'd like to see Sheik and Zelda each have a separate final smash. I've never really minded them being the same in Brawl, but I think it'd be cool to see what they could come up with!

Well yeah, I thought that went without saying.

I know it will probably never happen, but I wish they'd put Spyro in a smash game.
Wrong thread man. This should be posted in the Smash 4 Character Speculation Thread. Maybe there people can sympathize with you or even discuss movesets!

By the way does anyone have the faintest idea of what Final Smashes Roy and Mewtwo could have? I can't really think of anything other than Psychic or Hyper Beam for Mewtwo, and I wouldn't know how either of them work.

No worries, I only joined 2 months ago. By the way, when you hit Reply, make sure you hit Enter / Return twice before typing. Then you'll reply correctly when you post, cuz, see, it means I can't see what you said earlier when I reply to you!

Snake has an unpunishable final smash?

My thunder says otherwise.

Here's an idea. It's a tiered system incorporating Turbo Mode. If you meet a certain criteria, perhaps a number of hits within a certain timeframe, Turbo Mode is triggered on your character. Then, as you attack, the next stage of the hit counter begins to run. Land a large enough combo, and the Final Smash state triggers.

Imagine launching into an insane Turbo Combo culminating in a Final Smash!

They should do it the way Super Smash Bros. Crusade does it.
