Note: Before any mod comes in and wants to close this because there is already an FF7 thread, DON'T. This is a thread protaining to the prequel of FF7.

Who else has it right now, besides me? I like the new battle system they put in, and now there's more stuff about Zack than there was in FF7.

The graphics are amazing as well.

Brilliant game. It is the prequel that tells the beginning like no other video game or story could. It does the original, the legend, that started it all, incredible justice. The fighting system is far too easy, but the length is rather nice for a prequel, and explores SOLDIER, the exploits in ShinRa, and deepening relationships very well. Some complain for the cheesy dialogue, but it wouldn't be Final Fantasy VII without it. And that's the way RPG's SHOULD be. Cheesy with a lot of fantasy to allow your mind to escape.

The voice acting is great too. Rick Gomez is an amazing Zack, and Sephiroth's still keepin' it real with Superman. XDD! George Newburn is a great Sephiroth.

Everything about this game. To the moments of fanservice hearing Sephiroth in a better light, to the memories being made by Angeal and Zack, to Zack and Aerith's touching relationship...

It screams Final Fantasy VII. It's the series that will live on in our hearts, but hopefully will end soon with ONE final game that will put it all to an end and let us move on to remember the journey the games took us on.

Crisis Core, absolutely rocks. A little easy, but hey, I went on Normal Mode. I'll pursue Hard Mode for the New Game +!

And the MUSIC! The battle theme is BACK!!!! WOOHOO!!

Go to www.bluelaguna.net, they have the OST for Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. It's great.

My two cents here and whatnot. I could go on and on, I'm a huge Final Fantasy VII fan. :p

Haha xD

I actually haven't played the original FF7. I was only 4 when it initially came out, but I do know the basic storyline:

Cloud: Hi
Aerith: Hi
Sephiroth: Hi *kills Aerith*
Cloud: >=C *kills Sephiroth

That's kind of it?! I've been looking around for a good FF7 ROM, but they're all crap. I'm going to try to but an old copy off of a friend.

Here's a question about it: I love action RPG's and FFVII, so would it be worth it to buy a PSP to play this? Thank you for any advice you can offer.

It is worth buying a PSP JUST for this game. The replay value is impressive for an RPG game, especially with the New Game +. It carries your stats, materia, and items all with you and you can better progress through parts you may have found challenging before. So it's a good thing!

That and it's one of the most compelling Final Fantasies to date, in my opinion. And this is coming from a Prequel to the real deal! You will love this game. It's easy if you play on Normal, but Hard mode can provide a VERY nice challenge. Even on New Game + I've found myself almost dying at a high level near the beginning.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, is worth the buy, and worth getting a PSP for. But you should also get other games that may spark your interest too. God of War: Chains of Olympus is supposed to be absolutely brilliant. That and we also have Dissidia to look forward to in the future.

tl;dr version?

Get the PSP. ^^

If you do get the PSP, Patapon would be something good to buy in addition too Crisis Core.

And I'm at the part where you have to kill Angeal (OOPS SPOILER LOL). It's pretty hard.

Please put that under a spoiler tag, SkylerOcon. :\ It's disrespectful and rude for a game that's JUST been released in North America.

I would highly doubt it would get a PS2 port,
1. Considering why port it in the first place?
2. Theyre starting to stop making PS2 games anyways

It is a brilliant game the, imo the best PSP game out. The voice acting is amazing and the music is top-notch.

I was expecting a piece of crap prequal that would bring shame to the original gem, but I never dreamed of the prequal being this good.

Funny thing is I've got all this data from about 1 hour of playing the game,
Its my friends game, and hes letting me borrow it later today!
