some suggestions:
- luigi's combos are devastating, but his approaches to fox are limited because his range isn't that good. he needs to be precise to be able to start something. if you keep moving, he will whiff, and you can start something up of your own.
- keep your combos simple. two to three hits at most. continuing large combos is risky against him because his air recovery from it is fast. his nair is a combo breaker.
- when he's in the air, don't be afraid to get a hit on him. even though he has double aerials, they don't have a lot of range. so if he misses, you get a free approach, bair, uair, or usmash. just something to rack up damage.
- be patient. what's important in this matchup is to stay ahead. he's difficult to kill quickly, especially if he can do tornado recovery. accurately edgeguard his side-B's and you'll have the lead in no time.
- DI behind him when he tries to uthrow or dthrow. it'll take you really far and it's almost uncomboable for him. unless he catches on, some luigis like ka-master will follow it up with a fast WD... but most of the time you'll escape if you DI behind him.
this matchup is all about patience... one fox around my area named KFC moves and plays very well vs luigi and there are times when he just waits for an opportunity to usmash, and he gets it.
youtube's down at the moment, but KFC and Meep from norcal have a few friendly matches... KFC has a great fox with lots of mindgames and his style in general is very patient and anti-luigi. when youtube's back up, you can look for some examples.
