When the Wii U was first released, Nintendo welcomed the Warrior's series to their non hand-held consoles with the launch title Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper. A re-released game originally on other consoles. It combines the many worlds of Tecmo Koei into one super-packed roster of warriors. In recent news, Tecmo Koei and Nintendo are developing a Dynasty Warriors spin off for Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda series titled Hyrule Warriors. It is a different gameplay style for the Zelda series starring Link (so far) with very mighty abilities.

Despite being primarily on other consoles, only having these 2 titles and other hand-held Warrior titles, its given me enough hope to support a Warrior to be included in Sm4sh!

But who would be the representative of this super-sized roster of fighters? Few characters gain the status of a "mascot" or "main character" within the Warrior series, and considering popularity and their status of Warriors Orochi Hyper 3, here are the most reasonable picks:

Zhao Yun
Considered the mascot character of the Dynasty series.

Lu Bu

Kaguya
The key character of Warriors Orochi 3 besides the Hydra
Picture

Kaguya's stats, moveset, and media: (complete!)

Play Style: Non-melee mystic powers using a Sakaki and 3 mirrors. Her Sakaki can make Bamboo shoots appear quickly to attack, and her 3 mirrors floating around her can direct lasers.
Weight: 4/10 - Stands at 5' 3", a shorter human-like character with little armor, its a bit easier to launch her than other human-like characters
Speed: 6/10: Able to run fast with her light frame, but not super speedy due to her elegant nature.
Jumps: 2
Crawl: No
Grab recovery: No

Kaguya's moveset: (complete!)
Note: If any mirror laser attack does not come in contact with the ground, it can travel a very short extra distance. (Ex: Laser off a ledge)

Regular attacks:

Jab:
Waves her sakaki right, left mirror shoots laser at the ground at a 45 degree angle. 3% damage, stuns.
Jab+Jab: Waves her sakaki left, right mirror shoots laser at the ground at a 45 degree angle. 3% damage, stuns. (6% combo total)
Jab+Jab+Jab: Waves her sakaki up, middle mirror shoots laser at the ground at a 45 degree angle. 4% damage, stuns/tiny knockback. (10% combo total) (All jabs - See attacks video 0:00-0:01)
Side attack: Waves her Sakaki horizontally, swinging a horizontal bamboo shoot with a small range. 7-8% damage, small knockback.
Down attack: While kneeling, Points her Sakaki down, middle mirror shoots laser at the ground at a 45 degree angle. 4% damage, stuns.
Up attack: Points her Sakaki up, making a bamboo shoot beside her trust upwards. 5% damage, small knockback.

Dash attack: Kaguya leaps and spins around, making a whirlwind in front of her. Can connect 3 times, causing up to 8-9% damage. Small knockback. (See attacks video 0:06)

Aerial attacks:

Standard attack: Kaguya will spin around with her sakaki folded onto her chest, while her mirrors spin around her shooting a small distance laser. Can connect 3 times, causing up to 7-8% damage, small knockback.

Side attack: Waves her Sakaki horizontally, swinging a horizontal bamboo shoot with a small range. 7-8% damage, small knockback.

Back attack: Kaguya will look over her shoulder and point behind her, her mirrors will flip and all 3 will fire at a center point of focus. 6-7% damage, small knockback.

Down attack: Kaguya will spin around with 1 foot pointed down, causing a whirlwind. Can connect 5 times, causing up to 9-10% damage, small knockback.

Up attack: Kaguya will do a back flip with her Sakaki pointed out and a short bamboo shoot is swung around her. 9-10% damage, medium knockback.

Grab attacks:

Grab: Waves her free hand in a grabbing motion, does not physically grab opponent. Magic circles will flow downwards in front of her, and if it connects, freezes opponent in a small time portal. Not any different from other grabs or any more difficult to escape from, just fancier. Has a small range to it. Holds her Sakaki to her side and holds her arm out to the target. Opponent has no struggling animation, just frozen in a "being attacked" stance. (See cut scene video for what the time portal will look like)

Jab: Does not move at all, but middle mirror will fire a laser at trapped target. 1-2% damage per jab.

Forward throw: Waves her Sakaki horizontally, swinging a horizontal bamboo shoot with a small range. 7-8% damage, Medium knockback.

Back throw: Swings her arm around her to the other direction, moving the frozen opponent behind her and up slightly. Points her Sakaki at target and all 3 mirrors will shoot at target, which is released when hit. Laser hits opponent, 9-10% damage, medium knockback. Other 2 lasers keep flying indefinitely until they come into contact, similar to Falco's laser throws. 2-3% damage, stuns.

Down throw: Releases target from time, lying them flat on the ground. Jumps over them and spins around, causing a whirlwind. Contacts 6 times, causing 13-14% damage, medium knockback.

Up throw: Releases target from time, then waving her Sakaki upwards, making a large bamboo shoot sprout up rapidly in location of target, whom is sent upwards. 12-13% damage, heavy knockback.

Smash Attacks:

Standard smash:
Draws back her free hand, then waves it in front of her, making 3 medium bamboo shoots sprout in a row quickly. Can connect 3 times, causing up to 24-26% damage. Strong vertical knockback.
Down smash: Folds her arms in, then spins around on 1 foot while waving her Sakaki downwards. Her mirrors spin around her and fire lasers at the ground at a 45 degree angle. Can connect 3 times, causing up to 12-14% damage. Stuns/small knockback.
Up smash: Holds her Sakaki to her chest, then trusts it upwards. 2 tall bamboo shoots sprout up on both sides of her. 18-20% damage, strong vertical knockback.

Special moves:

Standard special:
Musou charge - Kaguya will hold her Sakaki to her chest while small energy lines flow to her. She will slowly start to faintly glow. Takes 4 seconds to complete (does not reset if stopped or broken). Once complete she will slightly glow. With her energy increased, her speed and all her moves are now executed 25% faster for the next 6 seconds. Will do nothing if used while already charged.
Side special: Mirror laser - Points her finger in front of her, all 3 mirrors shoot a straight continuous laser for 1/2 second that travel for a few yards then vanish. Can pass through multiple targets. Hits each once, causing 8-9% damage, stuns/small knockback based on damage level. (See attacks video 0:14)
Down special: Time portal/Time travel. Kaguya will hold her hand out and waves it down, as magic circles will appear around her and move downwards till on the ground (or just below her while airborne). Once connected to the ground (or below her), a time portal will appear. It is about the size of a box but lays flat on the ground (or air). Takes about 5/8 second to execute. Once complete a small flash will flash to signal it has appeared. (See cut scene video to see what it looks like)
-Stepping in the time portal causes no effects to Kaguya, but all other things moving though it will move though it in slow motion. The portal has an small area of effect, so being in contact with its aura above and below it will cause the time effect.
-When the down special is using again, Kaguya will once again wave her hand down, as her power surrounds her again. Takes 5/8 second to execute. This time she will teleport to her time portal and it will flash a different color to resemble that its been used. When she appears she causes 4% damage and a tiny knockback. The portal disappears and must be remade to be used again. It will not disappear if you die, and if its a stock match, it will disappear automatically after your last life. Can be a useful alternate recovery move, if you have the time and safety to execute it.
Up special: Kaguya will spin around while floating upwards at a 75-85 degree angle. A whirlwind will surround her as she spins upwards. It can connect 8 times, causing up to 18% damage total. After the whirlwind is finished she will enter a airborne state like when jumping normally. Floats briefly at the end of the lift.

Final smash: Musou attack

The signature sound of a musou attack will play and the screen will freeze for a short second while Kaguya's face is shown on a bordered screen that covers the middle of the screen, exactly like her musou attack in the game. While staying in place, Kaguya will wave her hand in different directions and her mirrors will appear on various sides of her. The mirrors will shoot deeper-toned strong lasers that streak across the stage and slowly move up or down depending on input, passing through ground and everything else. (See attacks video 0:21-0:30)
-She will do this attack 4 times. Since the mirrors change position every blast, each new blast will be lower or higher than the last, at random, making it slightly inaccurate at times. Each attack lasts for about 1/2 second. Each shot can connect 4 times, causing 10% damage total per shot, only stuns opponents. (40% damage possible total) The lasers can be aimed up or down about 30 degrees each way.
-She finishes her attack by moving her hand in a circle, having her 3 mirrors spin in a horizontal circle in front of her, shooting a continuous laser that spins around trapping opponents within. Move lasts for about 1 full second. Can connect 12 times, causing up to 20% damage. (60% damage total) The beam then flashes and opponents are blasted away with rocket knockback. 10% damage (70% damage total) Move lasts for about 7 seconds.

Each character has their own unique talents with spears besides Kaguya, who has her own talents. Their intense combo-based moves can be quite the fighting spirit to bring to the Sm4sh universe! Alongside Nintendo's own Fire Emblem warriors, Zelda characters, and possibly even Takamaru and Samurai Goroh, a Warrior will truly test the might of all fighters!

Feel free to discuss ideas and changes, I will always take them into consideration and will continue working on incomplete information!

Counterpoint:
Now in no way am I saying that at this point in time does a Warrior have a decent chance of getting in the game this late in development. But they do have their right to be supported and do have a incredibly slim chance. But of course, 3rd party characters do have a much significantly less possibility of inclusion, and Warriors especially with Tecmo Koei being roughly new to the Nintendo consoles. Theres also the point that a Nintendo warrior like character like Takamaru and Samurai Goroh should have first call, and in all rights they should, as I support them as well. As everyone always say, a man can dream!

This OP is too big, feels like spam. Try again, and make the OP smaller by putting the pictures in spoiler tags and toning down on info.

Interesting. I see that a lot of work has been put into the OP.

What I kind of wonder is... hasn't it been explicitly stated that Smash characters will all have to have originated from video games? I find it pretty unlikely that we'd get historical figures/characters from classic literature, even if they have been stylized beyond recognition.

Edit: Though, I suppose you mentioned that you also don't think it's likely. What I'm more getting at is that I think it would be, to me personally, a little jarring to have historical figures put in next to Mario.

Indeed, it is odd when you take away the game and learn about the stories of Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Sengoku, and The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter, which are obviously not video games. Already 8 titles have been spewed out in the Dynasty series, and remakes of some of the same titles as well. Successful as it is, they are indeed not original video game characters, but many people come to learn of the stories though the game.

...but as a human being, I just really wanna see one of these guys join the fight in Smash Bros. Besides that rule, they are original enough (Marth, Ike, Roy, Link, Goroh, Takamaru use swords, they use spears (and Sakaki)) to bring their own style to Smash IMHO. Likely or not

I've learned way, wayyy too much history from the Dynasty/Samurai Warriors games. Heck, even some mythology from the Orochi series. It's actually weird how often the knowledge has come up in conversation.

Isn't Tadakatsu Honda considered the Lu Bu of Samurai Warriors? I think all the characters I would want to see are the ones that are unlikely to be seen. The Warriors games have such a wide array of weapons... it's a pity that most of the prominent characters are the spear/sword users. Well, except for Lu Bu. Crazy, crazy Lu Bu.

Like, I would want to see Yue Jin because I lurve dual hookblades.

lmao, that picture is amazing xD Was that a real ad?

And yeah, Takadatsu Honda is the Lu Bu of Samurai Warriors. He is a beast, just as fearsome as Lu Bu.

Any true Dynasty warrior fan will still feel fear when they see this scene...

After I get music and other stuff up, Ill work on Lu Bu's stats and stuff.

As for a stage, I was thinking the Hulao gate, Hydra's Lair, Orochi X's arena, or a generic fighting field with a castle in the background. Even if not those, what would you pick?

I'm thinkin' the Orochi stage where you are trying to kill the heads of the Orochi dragon with ballistae around the stage. The dragon heads could attack the stage every now and then with firebreath and the ballistae could be activated with attacks to shoot across the stage.
