Starter Stages
Battlefield/Miiverse, Final Destination, Smashville, Town and City, Lylat Cruise
Counterpick Stages
Duck Hunt, Dreamland, Omega Stages
Stage Striking: The winner of a RPS match chooses which player will strike first one stage from the Starter Stage list. Then the other player strikes two stages and the first player chooses out of the remaining two stages.
Stage Bans: During the stage ban phase, the player who won the previous game may ban one stage from either the Starter or Counterpick lists (FD and Omega bans count as the same for this, and if a stage is banned their Omega version is banned as well). Bans are re-done after each game.
The losing player then chooses from the remaining stages, and the winner chooses a character for the next game before the loser chooses their own.
There is no Dave’s Stupid Rule.
Controllers: Only official Nintendo controllers allowed. Players must bring their own controller.
Self-Destruct Moves: If a match is sent to sudden death with the successful use of a character’s self-destruct move, the player that initiated the self-destruct move wins the match. Self-destruct moves include only Ganondorf’s Side-B, King Dedede’s Neutral-B, Wario’s Neutral-B, and Kirby’s Neutral-B.
General Rules: Players may be disqualified from the tournament for any of the following:
There is no alcohol or smoking of any substance permitted on the premises. Anyone found doing so will face immediate disqualification and removal from the building. This is something that will be strictly enforced.
Players wandering around the building can be asked to leave the building.
Any excess profanity.
