its gonna sound like im bragging but Ive been playing Ganondorf religiously since the game came out and from what ive seen on online for glory is that most of the people i've faced cant deal with Ganons power or just plain dont know what his abilities are. countless times has someone tryed to hitstun me out of my Warlock Punch only to be knocked into the shadow realm. nobody rolls out of my side-b dtilt and they try to contest me in the air when i down-b. Is it that the game is relatively new or that not alot of people play ganon enough to understand his move-set?

A lot of people don't really know how to play Smash Bros. So thus, For Glory is gonna be pretty easy for people that actually have fighting game fundamentals.

I'm not sure if there's even an MMR-based matchmaking system, so who you get to fight may be largely random. So, for the most part, you'll get people who don't play Smash at a particularly high level. Heavy characters are strong against opponents that just make more mistakes.

Ganon's definitely not one of the more well-understood MUs, but it doesn't typically take good players long to figure out how to keep him away and outspace him.

A lot of people underestimate Ganon and assume he is sh-t just because he is "low" tier. It happens. People treat Link that way as well.

Playing Ganon against someone who doesn't know how to tech makes me feel so bad. I can just Flame Choke into forever for free.

First time I faced a Ganondorf online this happened to me. Didn't realize you guys could combo a down tilt after as well. :c Still, countering a rare warlock punch feels good.:awesome:

I know how you feel. I have to play as a different character for most FG players to stand a chance. Ganon definitely dominates 1 on 1.

Funny thing is, Ganon falls apart in free-for-alls. When I do FFAs with friends I generally sit on the sidelines until it comes down to 1v1, he just can't engage multiple characters at once.

Tips time!

-Use down + b to rush into both enemies
-Stay close to your teammate
-make sure to use ganon punches and up tilts. Enemies won't take notice as they have to deal with your teammateteammate
-use dtilt.
-use down throw. your friend can easily get another hit on the throwed victim

Again, I'm talking free-for-alls, not team battles.
I've got no doubt he's viable in 2v2, but not FFAs.

Well, I think the main problem is the lag. Against ganondorf in normal battles I play just fine (teching his side B etc) but, with the small delay, I have a hard time teching them and find myself getting hit by is d-tilt half of the time. Just like I find little mac incredible annoying in for glory, simply because he's hitting too hard. You need to avoid getting hit but with the timing being just a little off, it's a hard thing to do. Which is also why I'm quite succesful using either myself in for glory. Whereas others (like pacman) play like crap, because his side B works pretty bad with lag.

Woops, I read that wrong.

Alright, here's my only advice, stay near the edge and ocasionally poke with a dash attack and roll back near the edge (DO NOT USE DOWN+ B, it'll leave you vulnerable to all sorts of attacks from any of the 3 players because of it's end lag)
