[Feb. 28, 2015] LOST Monthly Project M Tournament (Wifi)

Introducing Legendary Online Smash Tournament Series, sponsored by Legendary Brawlers Smash Clan.

This tournament series' goal is to increase activity in the Project M scene, especially for those that cannot play via Dolphin emulator. The tournament will be played on the Wii console using the Wiimmfi server. Instructions will follow at the end of this post for installing Project M on your Wii and using the new server.

Location and Time

• Saturday, February 28th at 7PM EST.
• Nintendo Dojo Tournament Chat 3.

General Rules

• Game Settings: 4 Stocks, 8 Minute Time Limit, Best of 3 Games. Finals are Best of 5.
• Items are disabled.
• Input buffer is disabled
• All chain grabs and infinites are legal
• You may not choose the last stage you have won on during a set, unless agreed by both players.
• If time runs outs, the tie is determined by most stocks, and then if still tied, by percentage. If percentage is tied, a 1 stock, 3 minute match is played.
• Playing as Giga Bowser is banned.
• No deliberate stalling of gameplay.

Counter-Pick Stages

• Yoshi’s Island (Brawl)
• Final Destination
• Wario Ware
• Distant Planet
• Yoshi's Story

Stage Strike Order for the first game is 1-2-1
Winning player of the preceding match bans three stages from the full list of stages, both Neutral and Counter-Pick.
Does not apply to Best of 5 sets.


Prizing
Prizes will be awarded considering preference and availability (e.g. gift cards, Paypal, etc.)
Prize pot will increase in proportion to the number of entrants, to a maximum of $75

1st 60%
2nd 25%
3rd 10%
4th 5%

We also ask that you email me replay files from each of your tournament games to afterburndeity@gmail.com so that we can upload them. Please ask about locating them on your SD card/Wii so that we can gather the entire tournament's games for more PM content!

Please include the names for both yourself and your opponent and if it was Winner's or Loser's side of bracket.

...just my luck, I'm a part of two groups and both of them are having a smash tournament today. the problem: one is Smash 4, and the other is this, for PM.

I initially figured I'd attempt to go back and forth between them, but it seems more likely that I'll have to choose. and I hate having to choose between two groups I'm a part of... cause i got friends on either side.
