Come one and all to the first gaming tournament fundraiser at the Point! We will run 3 tournaments of the "Super Smash Bros. Melee" video game! The tournaments will consist of 64 player tournament brackets, with the chance to compete for cash prizes and gift card opportunities! You can enter as many times as you choose and to as many tournaments as you'd like. Come bring your A game and fight against some of the best players in New York for the chance to be Smash Champion! Tournament will be held at The Point Theater on February 14, 2015 from 12pm to 6pm. All are welcome. Few will win.
Super Smash Bros. Rules:
Saturday, February 14, 2015 - 3 tournaments
(Max 64 entries per tournament)
12pm to 12:30pm - Registration
12:30pm - 2:30pm - Tournament 1 (2 minute, 2 stock matches 1v1)
2:30pm to 4:30pm - Tournament 2 (2 minute 2 stock match doubles 2v2)
4:30pm to 6pm - Tournament 3 (2 minute 2 stock matches 4-player melee)
Prize: $100 per tournament 1 & 2 (contingent upon 40+ players in each tournament ; otherwise, prize pot)
Prize: Custom (M) Gameboy SP with 2 games for Tournament 3
There will be food (locally catered) available at the event for purchase.
