Which Super Smash Bros Game is your favorite out of the following listed below?
Super Smash Bros 64
Super Smash Bros Melee
Super Smash Bros Brawl
Super Smash Bros Project M
Super Smash Bros for the 3DS
Super Smash Bros for the Wii U

Personally, my favorite remains the same, it will always be the original Super Smash Bros 64, although the Wii U game may change my thoughts soon enough.

Most fun to play? Melee or 3DS.
Most fun to watch livestreams/videos of? Melee.
Most memories linked to it? Melee.

I think melee takes the prize on this one. I played that game way too much. It's still fun. Getting drunk with my best friend and playing smash bros was one of the best times I've had. It's just a fantastic game. I'm really glad that sm4sh brought back some Melee elements. Did I say drunk? I meant we just drank a lot of soda ;););)

64 and 3DS are the most fun casually.

Melee has the most nostalgia factor for me, just the way the game looks reminds me of the early 2000s.

Brawl isn't good for anything for me...

And, to me, Project M is the most fun competitively most of the time, but when something dumb/stupid a character can do happens, the salt gets pretty heavy.

I also like 3DS competitively and it has a great roster, it's just that I'm waiting for the Wii U version and Project M 3.5 to really decide which is better suited for me.

Well, here's my list in general :

-Super Smash Bros for 3DS and Wii U
-Super Smash Bros Melee
-Super Smash Bros 64
-Super Smash Bros Brawl

In terms of memories, Melee and Brawl are my favorites. Brawl was the first game of the franchise that I've played while Melee was my first OWN game of Smash at home with my Gamecube.

Competitively, Smash 4 is the one that I prefer the most. Nothing seems unbalanced, the roster is great and I like the metagame, fun and challenging.

Super Smash Bros 64 is the one that I like to play casually. The roster is small, as well as the stages, but there's this good feeling about it that keeps making me go back and play it a little.

I haven't played Project M yet, so I can't pronounce myself on it, but it looks great.

I can't get into Smash64. I played it when I was little, but now when I play it with my friends it's just really weird and not as fun anymore.
If I had to rate them in order, it'd be Melee>3DS>PM>Brawl>64
Not sure why I like Brawl more.......

For me, the 3DS version wins out. I've always preferred handheld games over console games, and finally after many years of optimism and hope, a portable version of smash bros released <3

Been enjoying the 3DS version ever since October. Nice diverse cast, fun stages, Smash Run is a nice addition, better character balance than in Brawl. This game is very fun and I love it!

As far as the entire series goes, here's a ranking:

3DS >>> Melee > Brawl >> 64

Haven't played project M yet, but it's definitely on my bucket list.

Smash Bros 3DS and Project M are definitely my two favorite ones. I just feel like their range of characters is great and the mechanics are easy enough to pick up, but still something to master, plus they're both great fun to play. I had Melee when I was younger but I did a lot more messing around than actual playing, so I don't have as many memories and play time with it as others do.

Melee fan... sigh! If only there was someone in this forum that likes Brawl...
for me, it is Brawl>3DS>Melee(too overhyped!!!), and n64.
Having saying that, in terms of fun, the original was the most fun to play, although the Wii U version might change this.

Melee > PM > Wii U > 64 > Brawl > 3DS

Melee is the most balanced out of the games that are set in stone (games with no patches), has the highest skill cap, is the fastest, in my opinion is fun to watch, and is a great game to play casually or competitively. PM is the same, but can be glitchy (try entering Tournament mode), some characters are unbalanced, has easier button inputs because Brawl, and the characters are not in a set teir list and are constantly being changed. Wii U is fun, but I still don't like the new edgeguarding. I like all of the new ideas like custom movesets and 8-player battles, though. 64 is very fun, we wouldn't have the rest of the series if it were not for this entry, and is very simple in design (more so than the others). Brawl wasn't much good competitively, but it had much more content than Melee, a story mode (rather than the Adventure mode which was only exciting the first few times), stickers, more trophies, and extra music. The gameplay really pulled it behind, though. I don't like the 3DS's controls as much as a GC controller or N64 controller, there will always be multiplayer lag (even if it isn't noticeable, there will still be the excuse), the not-so-ledgeguarding mechanic in Wii U coupled with the bad controller makes for deaths that shouldn't have happened, and it is the Smash game where I ran out of stuff to do the fastest.

Also, Melee was my first console game for a Nintendo system, as I got it on my sixth birthday in 2003 with my GameCube. Because of that, I played Melee way too much and it is now my favorite game of all time. And now I am in the competitive scene and go to tournaments playing my favorite game of all time with people that love the game as much as I do.

Super Smash Bros. Melee by far is my most favorite one! That was the one I got for the Nintendo Gamecube and I had to be in karate in seventh grade to get the Gamecube and that and karate was whatever. I just loved the Adventure mode and still do; the ways the game improved over its excellent N64 iteration were so wondrous. Plus it had random little things that I liked like Peach's Daisy alt which was SO legit, Daisy's third eye and the random things like Yoshi's Island reflected in the trophy. And the stages were amazing!!! There are so many memories I have growing up playing this game with friends, and it is later what introduced me to this site

Sm4sh > Project M > Melee > Brawl > 64
For the record, I love Smash 64, and it is my go-to game for testing Nintendo 64 emulators, but I just haven't played it much compared to the other games. Melee and Brawl is a close call, Melee was my first Smash Bros. game and it's unbelievebly fun but I can't really play it much nowadays. Brawl is good and I've probably played it more than Melee, but even I can admit it's just not as good. Project M took everything that was good about Brawl and Melee and merged them together in to something I really enjoy. Sm4sh so far is my favourite, I haven't played the Wii U version yet but I absolutely love the 3DS version, this may change over time but when it comes to the Wii U version it has the best roster, stage selection, modes and online, I'm excited to see how the metagame evolves, I'm hoping to play Sm4sh competitively.

Melee/64>Brawl>3DS

Haven't played WiiU or PM yet so I won't list them, but for now that's my take. I would say Melee is better than 64, but I have a lot of great childhood memories from 64 so the nostalgia factor keeps it up there. It's also just hilariously brutal in its combo game lol

Melee because it introduced me at the young age of 7 to the wonderful world of Nintendo outside of Mario and LoZ. Before Melee, I never even tried much else! It got me into Pokemon, F-Zero and Star Fox! It also gave me that sense of wanting to try out all Nintendo had to offer! Thank you Melee!

PM>Melee> wiiu >3DS> 64 > brawl

Project M is just so crazy and has more of a usable roster than melee so I like it better. Melee feels right control wise, the movement is more crisp. Wii U has a giant roster and many fun modes and 3DS is the same but less so obviously Wii U wins over 3DS and then 64 is just more exciting than brawl despite the lower cast #.

Brawl, although Smash WiiU is slowly looking to take that spot.

Melee is behind both of them, with Smash 3DS and then 64 behind that.

Despite being as big as it is, I can't put PM anywhere because it's just not in my nature to group unofficial stuff with the official stuff. That'd be like grouping in Touhou fangames with the official games when listing off favorites, which I don't do.

melee and 64, no contest
imo

melee > 64 (> project m) > sm4sh > brawl

brawl and sm4sh aren't bad games; i just have no fun playing them if i'm not playing four-player FFAs. they aren't really good for my playstyle and even though if i felt like it i could probably get really good at the game, i wouldn't enjoy it. 3.05 PM had a lot of jank but i don't own 3.5 or really care about it at the moment (i've watched like three videos of play lol) so i'll refrain from judgment and put it in the middle i guess. i just love how 64 plays though and i'd probably place it over melee if i had the chance to play it more than once a year lol. but melee is the most readily available to me even though i no longer own it (because my friends lost my copy) and i love playing fox because going fast in melee is so fun.

I'm a simple person. My favorite will always be the newest one in the franchise.
