It's been a while since I made a thread, and I wanted to discuss about non-smash topics, but didn't notice this place until I checked it out. Seems my type of place.

Anyways, is there anyone who plays MKX? If yes, which characters do you like and which characters do you plan to main?

I'm still playing every character in the cast and so far, my favorites are Jax (Pumped Up...Will try out Wrestler), Quin Chi (Summoner), Ermac (Master of Souls), Reptile (Noxious and Nimble (Best Variation, but very hard to setup), and Liu Kang (Dragon's Fire).

I don't own the game but I chill at my bud's house and play MKX on most Friday nights (our very own Friday Night Fisticuffs, if you will lol); the game is really amazing and I never thought Mortal Kombat would hold my interest so tightly.

I'm currently enjoying Takeda Takahashi (he's literally me in a fighting game!!), especially his Shirai Ryu variation. Liu Kang's Dragon Fire is neat, too. The next time I play, though, I'm hoping to learn Jacqui Briggs.

awesome. I love Dragon's Fire Liu Kang, but I want to learn his other variations as they seem to have good potential!

before launch, I was honestly worried about how his variations were going to play out because, well, Liu Kang isn't exactly a super complex concept of a character (martial arts master who manipulates fire... that's basically him.), but I liked them in the end, especially Dualist. Haven't touched it, but saw gameplay of it and can't wait to put it to work.

Unless the inevitable wave after wave of online Jasons slay me before I can even try to, lol

I don't own the game yet either but the first character i'll pick up is Mileena. She is so quick and deadly.
She is one of my top favorite MK characters.

I'll most likely end up using Ermac and scorpion as well.
Along with Cassie cage and that kick ass cowboy dude.

Just so everyone knows, I got the chance to try out Kano. Love him. Love all his variations and I love the fact he's a good character for once :)

I absolutely don't understand how people can dislike her so much.
I'm kinda neutral about her but EVERYONE hates her.

she is a lot more interesting then Jason. -__-
Idk either >~< shes so awesome. I love the straight hair and her design as well. Plus shes super sassy and awesome. Shes been my main since Deception.

I haven't played Mortal Kombat, but I have two questions:
1. Do you recommend it as a first non-Super Smash Bros. fighting game?
2. Isn't that the game that taught everyone more about anatomy than 4th grade health class?

1. It depends on what you're looking for or what fighter you're looking for. Mortal Kombat is different than Street Fighter as it's a faster paced, footsie, combo game.
2. I don't know lol. Maybe?

Thank you. With pretty much every other fighting game I've tried, I basically ended up just mashing buttons with my hands and face until something cool happened. (I lost every game.)

I'm such a fan of the F13 and Predator franchises that my mains are already shamelessly decided before I've bought the game. Sorry not sorry.
