fastest way to ledge

this should just be a really quick thread but what is the fastest way to ledge hog with fox. what i do and i think is fastest is run off and forward b to the ledge and if you get it right it skips a part and just goes right to the ledge. so yeah is this the fastest way to get on the ledge?

Well, the FASTEST way is to pivot edgehog. But you'd have to be a machine to be able to pull that off consistently.

I think the other two fastest are the shine turnaround wavedash onto the edge, and the one that you said that you use. They should both work just fine, I believe.

just a slight variation of the backwards waveshine to the ledge, if you just run to the ledge and shine at the last second, your momentum will take you off the ledge and you can turn around in the shine and you'll grab the ledge right away.

it's a lot faster than the time it takes to explain it

Turn around in the shine wavedash onto edge is one of the fastest, tough I don't use it too much I always wavedash near the edge then turn around and wavedash onto it.

The one you're mentioning can be very risky and it's probably just situational

(I'm noob) I use the RSHL slide turnaround, add a wavedash if needed, it works fo me. If I'm feeling technical I use the shine-turnaround to wavedash. I use the forward-b when I'm in a bad mood. The fastest way, I only use when needed, is to shine-turnaround and let my momentum slide me of the ledge and jump just before doing this, resulting in my jump getting canceled by dropping of the ledge. (I found this while fooling around with the chillin-dash.)

Edit : I also use dropped shine-turnaround to firefox/illusion when I feel like it and I use firedash and rshdl for laughs.

i actually did seison's method by accident today and it was faster than shine turn to firefox and almost if not the same as pivot grabbing.

its the run towards the ledge, shine turn and it autocancels and you grab the ledge. no wavedashing.

chillin sliding. it works. But i'm more of a fan of running off, shine turnaround, jump, waveland, grab edge. It gives you the option of sliding a bair instead of grabbing the edge if you want.

Depends how far you are from the ledge.
If further than full >B distance, then jump and immediately >B then edge cancel that and fast fall >B the other direction to grab the ledge instantly.
If you're in between >B distance and dash dance distance, then doing that trick where you shine turn around and jump cancel it as your falling off the ledge and fast falling would be the fastest.
if you're in dash dance distance of it, pivot>fast fall onto it.
