When you jump, wait until you start to fall and press down.

Jump, then press down at the peak of your jump. You'll see a little spark come up next to your character if you do it right.

It's called fast falling. At the peak of your jump (full or short), press down. You'll see a spark and will go back to the ground faster.

Be careful not to use it when spiking or performing a Dair. It might just cost you a stock.
