im picking up falco for fun since my main is fox and i figured hey why not im sure they feel the same but i was totally wrong. everything feels weird and slow etc. but the main part of this post is during shine combo's (shine dair shine etc.) i cant get the timing of the fastfall right i can do it fine if i fast fall and then dair but sometimes that cant be done. so i guess my question is after the dair at what point can i fast fall.

this post really makes me sound like a noob :'(

Actually, you can watch when Falco reaches the peak of his jump, at that point, push down on the control stick. The timing of the C-stick could be weird at first, since using it early causes the opponent to fall slow(since you hit him after the stonger hit frames pass) and using it at the exact time makes the opponent fall pretty fast. It's really situational, and you can either shine or utilt, so you usually get a hit in(unless they DI really well). When I first tried out Falco, the hardest thing was L-canceling precisely.

L canceling was easy for me because i play fox as a main and im always nair > shine drill > shine.
but i guess i just have to work on timing with the fast fall. its really easy when im just practicing shffling but once i start doing it on somebody i screw it up. oh well practice practice practice.
