Fantasy Football

I'm not a big fan of Fantasy Football, or at least, I don't play it because I'm lazy.

However, a lot of people do play it, and I've had a couple people ask me for Fantasy Football help. A bunch of people even stop by the Football Thread to discuss it.



So, I figured I'd make a thread for all you Fantasy nuts to discuss it. :D

I'll help out with stuff that people ask when I can, but for the most part, you guys can handle yourselves, I'm sure.

I like to imagine myself as the quarterback, but sometimes punting 100 yards feels more like it. I also fantasize about spring legs to hop over all the line backers.

btw I am new to the pool room but I love Fantasy but is it me or is Maurice Jones Drew not playing up to expectations?

The whole team is. XD

We discussed it earlier a bit, but injuries have really rocked the Fantasy Football scene this year. A lot of tough decisions in the leagues, whether to hold onto a guy who'll be coming back, or dump him now while you can still get something.

Some things that are common knowledge, but something to look out for this Week 10:

Eli Manning is going up against the woeful Cowboys.

Josh Freeman of the Bucs is a Top 10 Fantasy QB this year, and he's playing Carolina again who he torched this season already.

Carson Palmer against the Colts is scary, since the Colts are a highly underrated defensive team who don't give up many passing TD's.

And Tom Brady is playing the Steelers this week, so don't expect big numbers.


Fred Jackson and Jahvid Best have the Lions and the Bills respectively, who can't stop the run.

Green-Ellis is also in the same boat as Brady, playing a stingy Steelers' D.


Steve Smith of the Giants is beastly against the Cowboys normally, and Mike Wallace is getting better with Big Ben back.

Meanwhile, Steve Smith of the Panthers is playing with a painfully inexperienced QB in Jimmy Clausen, so he's quickly becoming a bad choice.


For that same reason, the Bucs defense should be considered a starter against the Panthers.

The Ravens however, are not the stellar defense they've been of late, so watch out for them against Atlanta this week.
