hey guys

I've been playing with marth for almost a year and I was wondering what you guys use for marth's falling uair and his rising fair to uair?

do u guys use C stick and is that the only way to get a 100% success rate in doing falling uairs?

i use Z's for my aerials but i can never get a 100% success rate with my fallin uairs. (pointing analog stick north causes a second jump)

If you guys dont use c-stick, how do you guys do it successfully?

thanks

I just use the control stick. I tilt the stick up slightly to pull out the uair. And I can do short hop fair --> uair relatively easily. With practice though.

C-Stick is fine though, and it has its own perks.

I really have a hard time understanding why on earth would you use control stick and A for aerials

^this. I exclusively use the c-stick for my aerials so that it doesn't screw up my DI, for instance retreating fairs.

Sometimes, people have trouble doing instant aerials because they have to flick their thumb from x/y to the c-stick instead of sliding it from x/y to a. Instant aerials are useful, and for people who have trouble with SH double-fair with Marth, using the a button instead can help tremendously.

I switched to claw precisely for this reason and it's been a decision I'll never regret.

Idk. It's just how I learned it. I C-stick certain moves sometimes, but for the most part I just A.

Like, the thing too is, I actually have no problems DI'ing after aerials. Retreating fairs/aerials is really easy to me, and I've had no problems doing it with control stick + A. Well...unless nerves start kicking in during tournaments. But then everything else is out of whack as well. lol
