Falling u-air to knee or soft knee to u-air

I see lots of high level falcons do this off the edge, they will soft knee and then immediatly u-air without jumping. Is there a certain height you have to be at to do this? Everytime I try it i just end up SDing.

You got a video or a falcon doing this? Soft knee -> dropzone uair sounds incredibly unorthodox for a lot of falcons to be doing lol

actually off stage soft knee to dj up air (which i think is what he means...) is quite common. Look at any hax match vs a spacie.
