All i need is a basic step by step guide on how to do this. I repeatedly try to accomplish this but always end up failing. So if anyone would be so kind as to help it would be much appreciated.

You literally shine and then wavedash.

Shine, very short pause, jump, even shorter pause, hold forward and slightly down and hit R.

When you hit an opponent or someone's shield the initial pause must be longer, and with Fox there is hardly any pause at all lol

just practise wavedashing until you can do it perfectly with ease. after that.. just throw a shine in right befor you wavedash. the jump cancels the shine and you go about your wavedash as regular

Just posting to verify something: ACE, you say that there is a X-frame window when you hit someone before you can jump out of the shine? I've been practicing the waveshine in practice mode and can do it just fine when I don't hit someone and then whenever I'm trying to apply it the timing just isn't the same.

I know I could dig around the forum for it, but if someone can give me an idea of how many frames it is before I can jump that'd be great.

Thanks guys
