While I did get 3-0'd here, I actually 3-0'd him in a set we played about 2 hours prior. He probably just learned since then. Anyways, chew it up and spit it out. Just tell me what I needa do in order to get better as Falco. I know my SHLs need a lot of practice, as do my edgeguards (I hate Sheik's recovery). Anyways, just looking for some good, legit advice on getting better as Falco. **This Falco has only undergone like 1.5 months of training**

Sheiks recovery is actually one of the easier ones to edgeguard. All you have to do is grab the ledge at the right time and knock her offstage when she's in landing lag.
You seem to be rolling a lot and you have a lot of moments where you just stand still. Move around more, roll less. You also don't really put any pressure on the sheik I recommend using more lasers to install an urge in the sheik to approach you (since sheiks approach is notably weaker than her defense)

Got it. Some 20YY guys are helping me out. I'll make some posts about our stuff we're working on whenever Saiblade sends me a video.

You have so many basic things to work on, you don't need video critique, you need to hit the lab and grind. Here are some things getting you killed:
1) Spot dodge to nothing, I'm assuming spot-dodge -> shine is intended, learn either shine out of shield or just practise spot-dodge shine.
2) You can't move through platforms comfortably. Practise isai dropping, add shield dropping later.
3) You try and fight out of shield when you should just run away and laser
4) You panic recover (side-bing right on top of him when you could just grab the ledge)
5) You don't take early kill opportunities (dair at around 100% can set up for f-smash, take it when the opportunity presents itself)
6) You dont ledge dash or double laser, you always get up attack or phantasm onto stage
7) You don't laser enough, in fact you barely laser at all. As Falco that's criminal unless you're purposely trying to work on other aspects of your game. You should learn the gun in excess, then dial it back when it feels abusive.

Just go and practise practise practise. Start with the gun, everything with the gun should be second nature.
SHL at every height, on command,
reverse retreating lasers,
reverse in place,
reverse from a full hop,
reverse from a platform run off,
laser from an isai drop,
ledge hop double laser,
laser turnaround up-tilt/bair
laser grab
laser shine

Edit: I really can't emphasise this enough, your shiek friend should ****ing hate playing you. When it reaches that point, then dial it back and play laserless games.

Edit 2: Also don't taunt like a ****boi when you get a kill.

1.) Spot dodge to nothing is me forgetting I have to JC Shine OoS.
2.) Platforms do mess me up sometimes. I've heard the term before but, Isai dropping?
3.) Lasers mentioned, I'll come back to this
4.) Some of those panic recovers are probably me trying to get the ledge cancel sideBs. I also need to work on Falco's options from the ledge.
5.) I noticed I wasn't killing early. Thanks for that.
6.) Ledgedashes as Falco are something I'm attemtping to work on. I know I have to add variety.
7.) I took a kinda reversed path towards Falco when I first started. I didn't wanna use braindead lasers so I didn't use them. Now I'm working on implementation, admittedly forgot about them...

Thanks for the list of laser stuff

Re: Edit 1: My bro doesn't like fighting Falco too much to be honest. He's used to Marth but I feel like he's going to learn to loathe Falco soon enough.

Re: Edit 2: I just enjoy taunting after stocks. It's silly and I just do it for fun.

Isai dropping is cancelling the end lag of a move with a walk, then rolling the stick quarter-circle down to drop. It should be a quick forward->down quarter-circle roll.

Uh, I THINK I know what you mean. So do you just buffer a walk instead of L-Canceling, then rolling it down to the full down position in order to drop?

You still L-cancel, but yes, you buffer a walk during land-lag then roll down. Keep pushing the motion faster till it doesn't work, it's actually a very quick motion.
