Hello I have just recently gotten into smash and have been trying to learn how to multishine. I have looked and many high quality explanations of how to multishine with y but how would an x jump player multishine? I have been trying to slide my finger across the a button but I can't do it fast enough. I have been able to do it with Y but it is not very comfortable. Plz help!

For X I'm not sure I use Y & B and I put my thumb in between Y & B and just press each button by wiggling your thumb thats the easy way I'm really good at multishining I can do about 5-8 as Falco https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8ZWfhd5mBk&list=UUAB3V5qkvUKbjygS2IgibVw these weren't the best I've done

Edit:Its not useful though like you have the Best Falco's in the world like Dr. PeePee or Mango they don't Multishine its just to show off tech skill and make people hype or jealous Spacing, and Stage Control are way more important (I'm not discluding Westballz he has pretty good spacing but my point is Multishining is not that useful unless you wanna explode someones shield)

I do it with X. The reason why I do it this way is, since I wanted the tech to become part of my gameplay, and I don't touch the Y button for anything, I decided to use X. Like you said, I slide over A. I'm okay at it and I feel consistency will come with practice.

I use x to jump but I couldn't manage to use x to multi-shine. I just use y and then go back to x to jump. It's all about practice to make it muscle memory so just pick the method you want and then commit it to muscle memory. I found it easier to just learn with y, and keep jumping with x.

it's settled, my next video will be on how to practice multishine... with X.

I used this method to regain thumb speed that I used to have but lost from a break from 2011 to 2013. I ended up improving my speed after a while.

Thumb with x is entirely doable, with both fox and falco, but with falco its pretty easy. most people are probably thrown off by the frame perfect timing rather than the actual speed.
try to practice on shield or against a character, since that is more important and the delay on the shine might mess you up.
anything more than doubleshine is pretty useless except to style.
You should try to remember that the first two shines have different timings than any shine after that. if you can do a grounded soos, u should be able to multishine.

I Believe the reason is that many people like to slide there finger across :GCB: to :GCY:

Changing :GCY: to :GCX: leads to crossing :GCA: when attempting to multishine screwing up the shine. but if it feels more comfortable for you to do that i would say continue to do so just be careful cause you might end up having a misclicks.
