For shinebair practice, I like going into Training Mode vs a Fox, shinebairing him at increasing %s.I tried doing shine into Bair and it kind of sort of almost worked but I can pillar now so thats great!
there is this dude I play melee with and were just as good as each other... or so it were I've noticed myself getting better and now I am beating him...
I wouldn't say "useless" but I would certainly recommend prioritizing other things first: Clean execution for movement, jumping as you like when attacking (including lasers), shffling and being comfortable with timing the fast fall and the l-cancel at any height the move may hit, etc. On the other hand, learning multishining should totally help him with shine out of shield, or any kind of jump, which would be immensely helpful.Multishinings useless DO NOT learn it if you cant even pillar yet, ppmd doesnt even multishine, it is almost 100% useless other than shield pressure situations
Jump out of shine, back air. It can be done facing the opponent or away to still get the sweet spot. It's much faster in midair, and easier to connect if you shine them from above. Good as a combo finisher if they're in midair, and as an out of shield option. Practice jumping out of shine with every method, tap jump, X and Y. Practice doing the bair with c-stick, A, and Z. Find whichever you find most comfortable. You want to be able to control turning around in the shine on demand, and not do it accidentally.wait, what is shinebairing
