Falco Issues of Mine

I have some issues with Falco with my throws and out of shield options.

Even though I've been playing Falco religiously, I can't get myself to run after his throws. After I do an up throw, I kind of just stand there even though I smash the control stick.

I also have extreme trouble short hopping out of shield for a n/d/bair, I end up full hopping which ruins whatever I'm trying to do.
I can short hop fine any other, just not out of shield.

Is there something I'm doing wrong??

I'm guessing you use the R button to shield, if that is the case then there's a possibility that you hold the button too tight that it tenses your hand, this can make you loose some control over how accurate you can move your thumb (I'm a assuming that you use your thumb to press X or Y to short hop).

Everything else that the above poster said still applies.
