I saw a vid of ken vs pc cris, and cris did that "fake f-b", where he only blinks a short distance.
When i play the forward-B seems to get shorter just randomly, but is there a way of controlling the distance of it? Would be great if you could.

Immediately after fox/falco is starting to boost left or right press b. faster = shorter

or just wait a second after you pressed <--b-->

Something that could help with your timing is to cue it with the sound. The side-B sounds like "Ting! -voosh!"
The ting is when fox/falco sparkles. The voosh is when they actually start the illusion dash.

With fox you can just keep tapping B all the time, the first tap is the Side-B, then one of your next B taps will be perfect for doing a fake-out side-B.

With falco, you can't spam B. listen for the Voosh. Hit it as soon as you hear the voosh. It can only be canceled at the voosh, and in the VERY small delay in your brain speed to finger reaction, you'll get the voosh cancel.

On a side-note, that should be the name of a short side-B! The Voosh Whoosh.
