so ive recently been playing with pikachu alot and i noticed that if i hit with the beter part of a fair i usually get a good sized opening to follow it up. Is there a lot of hit stun on the fair or is it just because level 9 cpu's like eating front smashs.

thanks

also if it the first option what are some other moves i can do to follow up besides fsmash.

a fast falled fair into the ground has just enough hitstun that it can be followed up easily. the options i have seen used are fsmash, usmash, dsmash , ilt, dtilt, grab. i personally like grabbig to dthrow for combo opportunities, but yeah, fair is an awesome combo move for pika.

From the looks of things, that Dedede was able to begin a D-Smash after the D-Tilt. Because he was even SLIGHTLY controllable after that, it can't be a true combo for Pika, unfortunately.

The combo is pretty much inescapable. If the opponent is at a low percent, they are not going to get out of it. Only higher percentages and lighter characters are able to escape the Dtilt>Grab.
