I'm digging it, it actually reminds me of the cover for American Artist Drawing magazine i got a few months ago, though im not entirely sure about the green on the figures right, our left.

Also as a photograph I like the inclusion of the watercolors packet thing, I don't recall what they're called

Why have I seen this before....

Anyways, it's nicely done. I would advise not mixing acrylic with watercolor, especially white. That just destroys the opportunity to use the color of the paper as the default "white" of the piece. Then, the painting begins to float on the page, rather than become a part of it.

ya i know that man but in some places i had to use it for highlights due to my own errors... but I tryed to use the white of the paper for them as much as i could.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v103/demon192/cover.jpg scanned img of the cover I was talking about. You see there, there are greens and blues, but it is not as in your face as your piece. That's what I meant by the color choices, so take what you will.

Also, I find it weird how you added about using the natural white paper for the piece, because I had a professor who said even if your background is gonna be white, to paint it white. I reallly did not see the point.

cool cover and it does show using blue and green to shade the face.. like mine. Ill admit Im fairly new to using color rather than values to shade and I had a little more of an... abstract view to my reference lol, while your example seems to be more of a real life model study.

Also your professor is right about painting the background even when its white when using mediums like acrylic paint. But with watercolors he is dead wrong, It is definitely best to let the white of the paper be highlights

okay so with watercolor its okay, but with flatter, harder paints it is required to? Haven't taken a major painting class or anything, and never worked with water color either. We used Gouache paint in my color theory class fyi.

Watercolours are pretty scary, I've tried playing with them a few times but never liked my results. :[

This is looking very interesting though, I'm looking forward to seeing the final product. :] I love the combination of colours thus far.
