Expectations for Nintendo's next event

So since we got left high and dry for E3 - as far as Brawl is concerned (and for many, MANY other things, some would argue.. ) - I thought I'd ask the community what they now expect for the next Nintendo event where Brawl WILL be shown:

A video?

Online revelations?

New characters?

Get creative and let's see what some think could happen! Many things are possible. I for one enjoy imagining that there will be a trailer showcasing Snake's Final Smash:

Nuke baby ;)

I'm thinking of a trailer that Sakura Uchiha or whatever his name is with the ol' Mario and Sonic rivalry with Sonic bashing into Mario while he's running and they fight. Also, I was thinking that Snake's Final Smash would be for him to summon Metal Gear and just complete obliterate the stage with missiles and nukes. That would be awesome.

No more spoilers at Dojo site anymore and or from Sakurai. They update at least 5 times a week. Count till December the 3th, I doubt there is anything more for us to discover ourself.

#I say, give exact realease date in Europe aswell.
#If cannot answer us, then tell us why.
#about Online playing part if Pal Wii's can play against ntsc Wii's.

2nd one is so important, I have no clue why a game/console will be seperatly released in EU, USA and JP. If you tell me thay can't make enough copies for all countries, then I say USA wait till Europe version is done and then release at same time.

SSBM sold over 10million copies, it's not a normal game that not much man care about when or where release first. Come on, SSBM is still the most played gamecube game till now, we still host tournaments till December 3th. If you plan to release on an anniversary day, then make us all happy.

Like you celebrating your birthday with friends and tell them they get there sweet cakes tomorrow as your over over neighbours got probably better presents, screaming louder for the cake then your friends next to you.
Can assure, you not making new friends by that action. The time 1 day is not the issue, even you get 100 cakes each tomorrow, the wound never ever heals. Same, no matter how much longer EU get to wait for it after USA, it's marked.

Well supposedly (according to IGN) We should expect a Nintendo information meeting featuring brawl within approximately 1 and a half months. That's not unreasonable to assume either, since Brawl (and other Nintendo games) were left out at E3. Basically what happened was, Nintendo wanted to showcase Wii Fit - a new fitness game - to the masses and get more of a wider gaming audience. Since they focused so much on that, they left out a few anticipated games to make room for it. What the speculation is now, is that Nintendo will instead host a different conference at a different event, showing all those games we missed out on.

Anyways, back on topic:

I really think online will be revealed. It's the last big Smash update we would realistically get until it's release, and not telling us about that would leave us in the cold all the way until release.

Though the DOJO would likely supply the info... I don't know!!

Sakurai said they are going to do something very special for Brawl soon.

Anyway I think will get a view of online play and some other third party characters will be confirmed.

I don't want to be a negative nancy but I doubt we will get any more info outside of the dojo.
I mean E3 is the biggest event for gaming (still), and we didn't get much from there (not to say I was dissapointed). However, I could be and hope to be wrong. Like last year when they did a trailer at Nintendo World, there is still a possiblity of more info, but I personally doubt it.

Yeah, about the third party characters thing...I heard on Wikipedia that third party characters will only ammount to 2 or 3, excluding Snake. So, don't be surprised if we only get one atleast.

It has now come to our attention Sakurai has picked a different time to reveal brawl stuff, so that means nothing.

I really hope they are going to release some new information. Feels a bit more satisfying when you get a load of information on a trailer and get to see it in action. (With all of the people that think they see things in them too.. Sonic!)

Ok, I'll go edit Wikepedia to say that there will be 25 third party characters? If it told you to jump off a bridge, would you? Sorry, it's just that wikepedia is practically the most unreliable source available to mankind, even though it can be useful and fun.

What means nothing? Also, I said that I could be and hope to be wrong. I want information just like the rest of you. And by using phrases such as "I personally" I thought I pretty well established that it was just my opinion and that I was not stating anything concrete. I guess you either didn't read or choose to ignore those comments that I made when you replied to my post.

Wikipedia is a good site. I get a lot of information off of it that would seem real true. I just don't rely on it for things that are yet to come out.. Then again you can check its citations to see if its really true.

What other events are there? The only one that I really know of is E3... Nintendo World? Last year it was in November.. If it is at the same time I'm sure another trailer should come out. It will be a month before release and if theres still a lot to show off, I'll be expecting a trailer or some actual gameplay footage showing off some thing.

I would expect a new trailer, new characters, stages, online, new modes maybe. Basically, the whole nine yards.

Each character can take up at least 4 updates: one to reveal their presence, two to reveal special moves (2 at a time), and one for their final smash. If we can expect about 36 characters, then even with what's already on there, there's room for a LOT more updates just in that section.

Then add in more stages (only 6 revealed so far, there could easily be 50 total), items, assist trophies and pokémons (there could be countless of these), music updates, etc... they could easily update the Dojo every weekday until launch. There are currently 99 weekdays left until launch.

All I truly care about is online play. They could have the game contain 2 levels for all I care... Just give us Online!

Wait, 2 levels is a little low :p
Sakurai and walk out onto the stage and say "Online..... Yes!" for all I care. People would still go mad.

And if it was 2 levels... I don't think I would be buying the game anymore haha.

And as Max was saying, there are a lot of updates to be let out.. Music, stages, items, characters, features.. I predict atleast two more trailers.. If not then just some plain gameplay videos will do so some people can analyze every frame and give us the facts.

High and Dry? We got a freakin' release date. Not to mention we still get daily updates.Jesus...

Oh wait...

You're from Canada,no wonder.
Yes because what country we're from means so much.

The daily updates leave much to be desired. I'm pretty sure one trailer could reveal what 4-5 weeks up updates could.

Were you thinking he was stereotyping your country? I hope not since I'm pretty sure he meant that you didn't get a release date..

Wait... "In the Americas".. does that include?

Blame the French.

For EUR, they have to cover all 5 languages in western Europe.
That means collecting all the original Pokemon voice dubs from France,
creating a new voice clip set for Purin/Jigglypuff/Rondoudou/Pumeluff
not forgetting the menu text and the announcer and all the bonus awards
(Some of the bonus awards and event matches even use slang from their
original language, so they're soulful translations e.g. "Krieg und Sieg")

Basically, you get the message. Most PAL Wii and DS games nowadays can
pick up on the language that YOU set on opening the console's box.
So they have to have one disc containing all the languages.

I was happy to see a release date and small 15 sec video but other then that we got nothing from E3 about brawl. I hope they will release a new video showing off the online of brawl and afew new chars. That would be wonderful.

C'mon, a release date is nothing that special - especially when it was only announced for people 'in the Americas'. I personally just want to know more about the game than it's release.

And as for me being Canadian...

I live in an igloo!

I think they'll announce the release date for Europe at Leipzig, then release date for Japan at Tokyo game show. As far as what I want, confirmation for online, demo, trailer showing at least five characters.

Leipzig sucked concerning Brawl, I went there. They had no footage, no news and it was not playable. Apparently they only said it would be released in 2008 >_>

I'm not going to be surprised if nothing is shown at TGS..
Nintendo will still say that online updates are enough.. and they actually are.
5 updates a week is allot.. I can not think of any game that has ever done this before.

Anyway.. the only event I can think of it one that Nintendo puts together.. and the only place for that event would be the Nintendo World Store in New York City. If they did it for the Nintendo DS launch, the Wii launch, Pokemon game launches, and more.. they are probably going to do it for SSBB.
