step by step guide

1) create a facebook group for your local region of smash players
2) invite all the smash players from your region (keep it local, or statewise if your state has **** for smash players i guess, but i would say keep it in driving distance from the local smash get together place)
3)???????
4) profit.

Quality > Quantity. Take the time to train people individually and they'll be more likely to stick.

not disagreeing, but that doesn't really take away from this
getting into a community feels more accessible than getting into a competitive fighting game
if you're invited to a facebook group of like minded players in your region who all want you to come out and play it'll be a bit more tempting than to come to the competitive smashboards where everyone is wrong about everything unless you can support your theories in high placing tournament matches or with frame data.

They can be casual players that like the game but don't play in a competitive setting. And they can be people you don't know, friends of friends of friends who will see it on their wall and join.

basically, there is no reason not to do this, it has been successful here in the Atlantic sough in a couple area's, and think about it, there is no one you can think of that you used to play smash w/ but have kinda tapered off with them? Those are the people who are prime to get back into it if they're reminded of smash events when they check their facebook daily
