I'm sick of all these "why wavedashing will be in brawl threads" and how there's huge discussions on them. Seriously.

Wavedashing *WILL* be in Brawl.

Point: You air-dodge into the ground. When you hit the ground, you SLIDE. If you DIDN'T slide, you'd just STOP when you hit the ground. Nintendo's NOT going to just arbitrarily make it so you just STOP when you air-dodge into the ground.

Lock this thread and sticky it. Discussion's over.

While I do believe myself that wavedashing will indeed be in Brawl, there are still doubts.

Yes, wavedashing is basically just the sliding animation that happens when you airdodge into the stage. Yes, it is just a matter of physics.

...but what if the new physics engine forces something ELSE to happen when you airdodge at an angle into the stage?

One thing I have in mind would be crawling. In the TGS trailer for Brawl, you see Snake do this weird jumping animation to get into a crawling position. What if, in order to get into this crawling position, one would have to airdodge into the stage and force the character to do that position?

Sure, that may be a stupid thing to say, but it is a possibility.

There is definitely more evidence pointing towards wavedashing being in Brawl rather than being removed, but there is NO way you can say it's a definite until it's either confirmed by Sakurai, or until we have the game and are able to prove it ourselves.

Sorry, but this discussion ain't over until it's over.

No.

I'm right.

ERGO

I win.

There are only two things that can happen when you "wavedash": Slide, or Stop.

Either you're smart, and you choose "Slide", or you have the IQ of wet sand and you choose "Stop."

Nintendo's not going to make it so that to be able to crawl in the game, you have to airdodge into the ground; unless "Nintendo" is Japanese for "bunch of morons."

I'm not disagreeing with you, in all honesty.

Still, you can't say that wavedashing WILL be in Brawl as if it were a blatant truth just yet. We have to, as I said before, wait until it is either confirmed by Sakurai himself or proven when we have the game in our hands.

Even if the very idea of it not making it back just doesn't make sense.

Logic says otherwise.

I am just sick of all the whining children on BOTH sides. "WAVEDASHING IS LEET, IT STAYS!" and "WAVEDASHING IS GAY, IT GOES!"

Take a page from what you hate so dearly and don't contribute to the wavedash thread spam TC. You are sounding like a hypocrit.

We don't even know if you can air dodge in a direction.

I won't sticky this, but I'll gladly close it.
