I've been lurking around these forums for about a year now, using it for things such as matchup info and to download the fabled Evidence.zip. A short time ago, I decided to take my first step into joining the community. It is with great happiness that I can finally say: Hello, SmashBoards. You can call me Luke. It's simply a handle, but it's what everyone knows me as. I'm from a small town between Baltimore and Philly. I mostly play Melee and Project M, and enjoy the (excuse the pun) surgical precision of Marth, the combo potential of Falco, and the high APM and execution oriented playstyle of Fox.
I'm not good. I'm still learning basic, such as L-Cancelling (hovers around 50% or so) and proper DI. I've been playing Melee for a long time. I distinctly remember the cashier's face as I pulled out my piggy bank filled with a pair of fives, a few loose ones, and about 26 dollars in loose change in order to buy my first copy of Super Smash Bros Melee. It took about 15 minutes to count it for him to make sure. This was back in 2002. It wasn't until 2014 that I learned about the competitive Smash scene, which blew me away.
Thus, we come to how I am today, slowly coming to terms with techniques I once considered superhuman, and slowly building the tech skill and confidence to eventually begin looking at the local tournaments.
Outside of Melee, I enjoy working with C#, playing CSGO, LoL, Osu, And a laundry list of other games. If you ever want to play, fire off a message.
Once again, hello. It's great to finally meet all of you.
PS: How did it already know what I wanted to use for my profile picture?
