Found this kind of funny. Never put much thought into football players playing Smash. Think they are tournament level players?

Fox News Article

"We were playing Super Smash Bros on the Nintendo 64 -- that's my game -- and the power went out," Lewan said at Monday's news conference. "There was a loud noise, so we went outside and saw there was a power line down, and then we saw a car had hit the pole, so we ran over there."

Kudos to them helping out the guy in the crash.

Think they'll get Smash 4?

This made me smile. Thanks. And hey, if that one guy from American Idol can enter Melee at EVO and get like 200th something place (or whatever it was), who's to say they can't?

I hope they get Smash 4.
Games are neatly integrating with society, generally for the better~

Edit, favorite part: "I was winning the game," he said of the interrupted contest. "I was kind of heated about that."
I can see why they left the Smash reference in.

Those are some excellent points. I think that its great video games are increasingly becoming integrated with society. Its even been reported that video games can pull in more money than the Superbowl. Times are a changin'.
