**PURE SPECULATION**

I was kind of going over the news we got from the Smash site in my head while I rested one aft. I came to a conclusion that is both logical and realistic! Hear me:

Smash Bros. Brawl is schedueled for a 2007 release.

The site came up and they are slowly feeding us tidbits of info.

There are 4 primary categories to the site. (Characters, Game Modes, Stages, Items) These are the categories that will be updated the most often, with smaller updates from Music, How to Play, and Notices categories laced into the updates we recieve from the 4 primary categories.

Now, if we assume that we are given 1 character a day, and there are 40 characters, we'll have to wait 40 days before the Characters category is filled. Now, let's say there are 30 stages; another 30 days on top of the 40. Then for items lets say there are 30 as well. Game modes. 15 maybe.

40 + 30 + 30 + 15 = 115

Based on my theoretical conclusions we must wait approximately 115 more days until release, keeping the following assumption in mind as well:

They will not release the game after the site is totally filled with all its info. If you were in charge, wouldn't you release the game before it's site reveals everything? So either they will release the game as soon as the site is filled, OR they will relese it sometime before hand, to maintain their consumer demand. If you knew everything about the game, would you still be as excited for it? Not me.

Conclusion: Brawl will be released some time within 115 days, and my personal guess is Sept. since many 'anticipated' Wii games are releasing that month as well (Metroid Prime 3 to name one).

Take it or leave it ^_________________^

This seems more like wishful thinking than an actual estimate, the reason being that sakurai has showed no pattern in his updates yet. Why? because we haven't given him enough time to establish a pattern. I can tell you this though, we will not be seeing a new character until the new E3.

First of all, you forgot to add weekends to your speculation.

Second, you forgot about additions to "how to play" and "music".

Third, there's not way it's coming out that early. I'd expect more around late November or December.

I'm expecting it to come out "there's already a stickied topic for this".

Well here's more speculation to counter yours:

Since the only sites that say 'Planned For A 2007 Release' are the Japanese and English sites, I would say December, the last month of the year and the last possible window in the '2007 calendar year', according to Reggie. It will be released in Japan first, then the US just in time for the December holiday rush.

All the other sites don't have a planned release...sorry UK buds, but you might need to wait until 2008 to get Brawl. :(

About 15 or so weeks until september, and 115 weekdays is 23 weeks so that will be close to November. In addition to that just because they release the info about the game doesn't mean that they will immediately release it, they could make alot of tweaks or fix errors too.

December, in time for the holiday rush. Hopefully the game isn't rushed to meet deadlines.

Wow, again with those "applied math" predictions.

It's better just to wait it out and get the real release date instead of making all this big predictions and stuff. I remember back then people used this method to figure out the Wii's release date. They kept saying Oct. 10 the most, only to be completely disappointed.

In conclusion, just don't even try.
