Error with Sigs (Didn't know where else to post this)

Currently, IMG codes are not allowed in sigs, despite the vast number of already existing pictures in sigs that I see daily.
Is there any reason for IMG codes being disabled?
Again, I didn't know where else to post this.

Your account is to young to have image sigs... You have to be about 1 week.

Please note the image sig at the bottom of my post

Yes, I know people have them, but I guess it's the one week thing you mentioned.
