Entering the World of Smash

'ello all, name's Izzy. I'm new here to smash boards and relatively new to competitive smash bros. in general, though I'm interested in learning as much as possible about the game, mechanics, etc. I main Marth, though I occasionally play Jiggs and a couple others. On another note, I'll be going back to school soon and I was wondering if there's any sort of local/friendly scene around Charleston SC, as that's where my college is located.

If you're more into Melee/PM, the SC Melee Facebook social group is for you. You could also browse around in the Atlantic South sub-forum.

Other than places to look for some local competition, I'll also link you to a guide for players seeking to get into competitive Smash.
