emulated melee c stick problem

When I use my computer to emulate melee, f smash right doesn't work, however, the movement seems to registering as I can still to fairs right with c-stick and tilt the character select screen, if anyone knows a solution to the issue or can offer some advice it would be much appreciated.

If you're emulating on dolphin put your c-stick deadzone to somewhere around 5-15
