Hmm I was pretty sure there was already a topic on this..
So what was that game about? I seen it but never went into it. Though I have heard for multiple people that they would be perfect ATs.
Well, let me enlighten you then. Ouendan and its american version, Elite Beat Agents, are rythm games for the DS. Given we're talking characters I won't bore you with the gameplay mechanics, though, and go straight for the chars and semblance of plot. In these games, you control a trio of dancers (a male cheerleader squad in the original, and a trio of special agents in EBA) and your mission is to help people who lack enough force of will or drive to complete their (usually totally absurd) task. And you do this by energic dancing, infusing enough energy in your charge to allow him to beat whatever challenge he faced.
As such, due to their eminently "support" role (the only time the agents actually intervene somehow is in the last episode of the game) they've been repeatedly hailed as the perfect ATs. I'd personally prefer the original cheerleader squad, but EBA would do too.
And now, some illustrations.
These are the base squad of the Ouendan, and
this is the equivalent for EBA.
All in all, if you like rythm games and have anything slightly resembling a trace of a sense of humor, you'll like these, period. They're some of the best games in the console's catalogue, and that's saying a lot for a console with as many jewels as the DS.
