"Elective - open to choice; not required; ex. an elective subject in college." (dictionary.com)
I have to select two terms worth of approved complimentary studies elective courses for school. There are 79 approved complimentary studies elective courses and the 1 course that I would willingly select is full.
It is 1 week after course selection became available, and of the 79 courses, 59 are full, 10 I do not have the required prerequisites for, 7 do not exist in the registration process, the content of 1 is covered more thoroughly by a course I am required to take and it occupies 1 term which makes the 1 other 1 term course not applicable. This leaves 1 possible two term course which I would not willingly select. Oh, the irony.
