Sets are best 2 of 3
Winners, losers and Grand finals are best 3 of 5

DSR is on (you cannot counter pick a stage you have already won on during that set)

Starter Stages: Battlefield, Final Destination, Smashville, Town And City, Dreamland 64

Counter Picks: Lylat Cruise, Duck Hunt, Omegas (counts as FD)

Order of events: Pick characters, then stage striking

The first stage is chosen by striking, rock paper scissors decides the first player to strike a stage. The first player strikes 1 stage out of the 5 starter stages. The second player then strikes 2 more stages, followed by the first player picking a stage from the 2 remaining stages.

Following stages are decided by the winner banning one stage out of all the stages (Starter and counterpick) and the loser chosing from the remaining stages.

If the winner of a game decides to change characters for the following game, they must make their new selection before their opponent makes their character decision.
