Efficient uptilting?

Whenever I throw someone on a platform, I struggle to get an uptilt properly. I always end up doing an upsmash when I try to gently push the stick up so I can start swinging at them. Any advice?

Buffer your Utilt. After Upthrowing your opponent, you just keep holding Up.

If for example, you are in the middle of Battlefield, you Up throw and they DI away into the plataform, you can Wavedash and inmediatly press Up and mantain it for the up tilt, you won't jump, you can even turn around and Utilt (requires a little of precision but not much).

Hopes this helps ;)

While running its much more difficult, and maybe that's why most Marths will go for short hop Uair for the platform tech chase when they are too far away.

Sry, was going to edit, but hit the reply button instead, my B

Note that this

works because you cannot act during the first 10 frames you're on the grounded after an airdodge (during a wavedash).

If you're up smashing, you're timing your up and A inputs too close together. Try pressing A just slightly later than you're doing now to get the tilt to come out, hence why buffering the control stick tilting up is a good idea.
